Welcome to Van Central Dave!
We're a passionate bunch here at Majestics mate, anything and everything van related count us in!
We are a van club, unlike most clubs which are state specific, we're Australian wide! And have members in just about every state(no NT yet!) As Karl mentioned we have a Vic chapter and a very strong and committed following with a heap of awesome members!
Looking forward to seeing some more pics of your old HQ and your new WB! WB's rock, but I'm a bit biased! (I got a HQ to!)
Cheers and welcome aboard mate hope you enjoy your time on here and hope to catch you on a MV run soon!

Hi all!
Hay to all! My names Rick and I met some folks here at the Van-In at Easter.
I own a 1993, Ford Falcon Panno, White, 5 Speed, Air con, Steer, 17" Tickford alloys, lowered, Sony head unit, JBL 6" (two pairs) and Unknown brand 6"x9" (one pair). I am in the process of getting it roadworthy and am looking forward to hitting the road on a cruise very soon! It has boxes in the back alrady which I will repaint at some stage, I have already started trimming the rear bay thanx to the help of a few good mates! I have also fitted blue neons in the back and will be adding more and of course a UHF & CB upfront as well! I will upload some pics for y'all when I can get some decent ones! Stay safe and have a good one!

Sweet as Rusty, will the van-in 2013 be at the same time as the Van Nats? the only reason Im askin is that some of the vanners I know are headed up to Cabulture (or however the heck ya spell it) in a massive PG13 convoy and Im planning to head up there with (at this point) I'd like to do both if possible. Also does it matter if you are a member of a different club when you are at a MV gig? the only reason I am asking is because the last thing I want to do is cause any offence or trouble by riocking up with a diff club decal etc..... Ta for the warm welcome too btw!

Gidday Rick
No, the Van-In won't be the same time as the Van Nats in Caboolture. Many of us will be at Caboolture in 2013.
We hold Open Invite Runs and expect that it would be reciprocated by other Van Clubs.
What Van Club are you in?
Many Forum Users are just that, Forum Users (Members of the Forum).
Members from many different Clubs and People who aren't in Clubs are Members of the Forum.
Beyond the Forum we have the Club: Majestic Vanners Australia Incorporated. This Forum serves all needs, being an easy way to stay in touch.

Welcome aboard Rick....
Another Mexican joining the ranks.
Don't for get to make yourself available for the VICtitles that are coming up on Sunday 28th October at Caribeean Gardens.
I'm sure the MV lads will gather again for this annual event.
Were even looking into a stop over the night before for a decent MV get together....
Cheers Al.

Al, thanks for the warm welcome.
Rusty, Thank you for the explanation, i get things eventually-Im just a tad slow! I am involved with the White Appliance Van Club-its a sub club of Wasteland Vanners. Im not looking to stir anything at all. After being involved with the ute show scene for a while I remember some of the palava that went on within the clubs there. Ya know some one from (for argumernts sake) the Murray Mungrels hates someone from the Copperhead Club so the clubs become almost sworn enemies. Not that I am saying that happens in vanning, Im just lookin to steer clear of it. Damn, I think I hijacked the thread! D'OH! The only reason I asked about the Nationals is because the 2 events co-incided this year. Look forward to doing both!

Re: Introduce yourself Here!
No worries Rick.
The Wasteland Vanners are a Great Bunch of Vanners. I'm good Friends with Matt and Mandy and many others. I'd name them all, but afraid I might unintentionally leave someone out.
Matt actually got me back onto Vanning.
We may have already met if you were at last year's Vic Titles.
I look forward to catching up at the next get together.

Gidday Adrian.
Welcome Aboard!
Great to see that you have found your way onto our Site and decided to become part of it.
You and I have already corresponded via email. Your Sandman has very unusual VIN Stampings as we discussed and certainly appears to make it unique as HQ and HJ Panel Vans were only ever produced as Commercial Vehicles under the Belmont Code "M". Kingswoods "N" Code were only available in the Utility.
All Sandmans were optioned up Commercial/Belmont Vans and carried the "M" Code.
I look forward to seeing some Pics and Info on your Ute Build and the Van Project.
At this point in time only www.majesticvanners.com Stickers are available to Forum User/Members. Here's a Link: Stickers

I'll dispute that one Rusty talk about Sandman myths!
Just because the guru's say they were all Belmonts doesn't mean they were.
Welcome aboard Adrian, I to was emailing you before about your XX7 plated Kingswood, very rare van and super cool to boot.
Great to have you on here.

Correctly speaking there is no Myth, they are all Commercial Vehicles, which use the same Code as Belmonts "M".

Not so, quite a few vans were "N" coded Kingswoods, they did make Belmont and Kingswood vans, especially in the later models and although some will dispute it they did make Kingswood Sandmans.
Let the arguements begin.

Re: Introduce yourself Here!
From what I have learned. Sandman's that are tagged XX& or XU3 are the only readfily identifyable Sandman's beyond all shadow of a doubt, otherwise you are down to looking at trim, engine, trans & GVM codes. Also XX7/XU3 tagged vans and utes were built at the Acacia Ridge plant only. (I may be wrong, but this is what I have pieced together over the years.)

Re: Introduce yourself Here!
Spot on, XX7 and XU3 plated ones are the only ones Holden will recognise or at least that's what they told me years ago. They were Brisbane built vans, other vans also carried XX7 plates that weren't Sandmans.
Holden Gemini Gypsy vans also were XX7 plated.
As you said other wise your just down to checking options, seating capacity and all that other exciting rivet counting stuff.
At the end of the day, they're all vans so who cares? And they'll never be worth the dollars an XU1 or A9X or HK Monaro is so just enjoy them for what they are......cool as transportation!
