Urban myth to reality

For years I have heard there was a one owner Sandman van at Tamborine Mountain here in Brissy. I shrugged it off as a urban myth as we often hear these stories. Well on Sunday I saw for myself it was a reality. I ran into a young guy at a swap meet who has purchased the van. It is a one owner with all the books and matching numbers, he has not had it long but plans to keep it. Very straight windowless van with original paint and decals, not bad for 10K. I think he said it was going to be a daily driver.

wow 10k matching numbers now has second owner hard to find vans like that are like hens teeth my van was 10yr old one owner when l got it the paint was still preety good and lve owned it for 24yrs and lve not long just finished been bare metaled for complete respray preety much rust free

I'm with you Neil, don't think I would be using it as a daily driver. It was in top condition, the interior was a little tired but that is to be expected for a van from the 70's. When I first spotted it I thought it had been restored because it looked so good. Nice young fella though so good on him, he was as pround as punch.

Who wouldn't be proud as punch with a score like that.



Did you happen to get any photos while you were talking to him ?
It would be nice to see.

I would be usuing it as a weekend cruiser,good to see it has survived though I hope he enjoys every moment in it .
