Puberty Blues....

My wife and I just got home from a good night out with friends and I switched on the TV and a rerun of "Puberty Blues" was on.

A bunch of vans at Cronulla and a pretty realistic account of what it was like growing up in the 70's. Brought back a lot of memories (a LOT of memories!).      

Its a good movie for stirring up memories.
Not often they get it right when they do that type of movie.

There' another period piece I came across on you tube with some good shots.
An ABC journalist doing a story on the South Australian Panel Van Club in the 70's.
I think he had a bet at work on how many times he could say souped up gin palace in the interview.

Yeah, cops, parents and journalists had no idea what to make of vans or their owners back then. The only people who had a clue were van owners and teenage chicks!
