Hot Rod Show - Autobarn Narre Warren - 23rd Feb 2013

Majestics have been invited to attend the Hot Rod Show at Narre Warren Autobarn on the 23rd of February:

There was around 200+ cars there last year, if we let Leland know how many we will have coming he will save us some spaces to display the vans and set up the banner.

Cars start arriving around 5.30 so we will need to get there early to claim the saved spots and get set up.

Put me down for a spot Karl .

I spoke to the other Dave tonight and he is keen as to bring Street Legal to display with us too!

How did you go at the charger show?

Really looking forward to this display on the weekend, its going to be a lot of fun, mixing it with the rodders.

Unfortunately Dave has let me know that Street Legal is at the exhaust shop and will not be ready in time for the display. But at least we know that once the exhaust is done Street Legal will once again be Street Legal and able to attend more runs with the Vic chapter of MV!

My mate Sully will be coming down to join us in his Charger, it should be a good night!

Getting there that early, we might have to park the vans and take a walk across the road to grab a bite to eat...

It was a great night at the autObarn Hot Rod display last night. Heaps of interest in the vans and a lot of positive comments. We had crowds milling around the vans all night as they provided a point of difference to the Street Machines and Hot Rods most people are used to seeing. Lots of 'Check out the panos!', 'You don't see these much anymore!', and 'Its good to see some vans again'. They were a hit with young and old alike.













Another great looking van that was in attendance:





I spoke to the owner, it is running a stroked 355, VN heads with a carby manifold and a turbo 400 trans. I gave him a card , lets hope he find his way here.

There was well over 200 cars in attendance, probably closer to 300 Rods, Street machines and a couple of high power boats for good measure. Massive turn out and a great atmosphere. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for the next event.

Thanks for the invite to the event it was a good night .Now im getting the bug and going to start doing some more mods and get ready to repaint the old girl.maybe a monza /concorde style front MMMMM.and of course bigger boots .found some 15x10 sst,s for the back woo hoo .maybe a change of color.will keep you posted.

Mate I would be leaving that front... One of the best fronts for that model of van! Custom grill maybe, if done correctly.

Bigger boots for sure. Nothing sets a car off more than the right wheels, tyres and over all stance.
