MV VIC - End of year/Christmas trip to Anglesea
As there is going to be couple of us heading to Daz Launers 'Just For Fun' Custom Car & Van Show, is there anyone interested in making a bit of a end of year run out of it?
As the show is on the Sunday I was thinking we could head down to the start of the Great Ocean Road for a bit of a cruise and stay in Torquay for the night before heading to show the next day.
We would have to get onto accommodation pretty quickly as places are already starting to book out, so let me know your thoughts ASAP!
Cheers.

Re: MV VIC - End of year/Christmas trip to Anglesea
How about we meet halfway between you guys and this side of town, cruise together to the ferry at sorrento, put cars on ferry to queenscliff , cruise to torquy?
The ferry cruise is grouse, not too long and pretty cheap.

Re: MV VIC - End of year/Christmas trip to Anglesea
I am up for the ferry as well Greg. What does everyone else think? The only problem for us is that we will have to pay for two cars to board the ferry... unless we have a couple of vans with spare seats??
What is everyone's thoughts on accommodation? We will have to move on it pretty quickly!
At this stage we are looking at Torquay Holiday park, a powered site costs $36, if everyone is happy to sleep in their vans/tents.

RE: MV VIC - End of year/ Chrstmas trip to Torquay
Hi guys have done some research into pricing of ferry costs/times and Anglesea caravan park which is only a short distance from Freestones Café.
Ferry starts at 7:00 am and on the hour every hour, may have to book trip and time. Prices are as follows:
Vehicle and driver $62.00 + Adult Passenger $11.00 + Child (4-15) $8.00.
Anglesea Caravan Park $38.00 p/night. We have been here before and there are some great grassed areas where we can camp together as a group near facilities, playground (for all the kiddies) and direct access to beach and walks into town.
Van Oooonn!!!!!!
Joe and Angelique.

Going on ferry, staying at Torquay/Anglesea Saturday, going to car show Sunday:
1. Greg
2. Karl, Trish, Ella & Lochie
3. Joe & Angelique
4. Sam
5. Mully
6. Gary?? (Show only until confirmation)
7. Andrew & Kerri?? (need confirmation)
As I am working long hours the next two weeks, is someone able to make the phone calls and make some inquiries/bookings for me?
The Anglesea Caravan park is a great place to stay, been there a couple of times, would be happy to stay there if you like Joe. And like you say, nice and close to go check out Freestones, and a good drive Torquay to Anglesea. Looking like we need 7 unpowered sites at this stage.

RE: MV VIC END OF YEAR/CHRISTMAS TORQUAY TRIP
Hi Karl Angelique has a day off tomorrow if you would like she can do some calls regarding ferry bookings and caravan park.
Neither Anglesea or Torquay have unpowered sights. Need to know which of these caravan parks others would prefer.
Angelique can find out availability at both with all seven being camped together.
Van On. Joe.

Earlier suits me too.
I was thinking some people aren't early starters though.
What about 9.30-10 a.m?

Anyone else? Joe and Angelique are trying to confirm numbers today so that we can reserve the campsites,
so please get in contact with them ASAP so they can do this, Cheers.
For us all to get on the ferry we must all get there together a half hour before leaving time, so for those getting on the ferry make sure you are there at 9.30 to leave at 10.00.
