Header Pic
I just want to make a suggestion to admin about future header pics, how about using a members van from each state and rotating it on a monthly basis and I am sure the member would be very happy to see their van at the top of the forum, also another idea would be to get all the MV members together at the Van-In and get a group shot and use that as well as it shows our members and how proud they are to be in MV?
Regards Tony.

Re: Header Pic
Joe a group pic when we were at the nats would of been a good time for one but all of us were all over the place even on show day,but one from the Van-In would be spot on and easy to get every member that is attending together for the pic,but as I suggested it would be good to see a change in the header pics and show a member's van individually and with the new chapter now in SA it would be good to show what we have down there as well I am sure they would be wrapped.383 wrote:Hey Tony what a great idea a pic of all the crew would be great we missed a plum op at Barthust

Re: Header Pic
I'm going against it as i think the 'group' pics of majestics out and about is a perfect showcase of what we're about.
I say get out more in the vans and take more group pics.
There are already plenty of separate whole sections of the forum for individuals to either post their own cars or view others.

Re:Header Pic
I like your Idea Tony Burrell.. Bowtie 383. I am waiting for such a day, Every Vanner loves their Van, Even if it is not finished put work in progress under the photo and general info etc, so everyone gets a turn or if it is a van from the past put the year the photo was taken and owner/builder info etc. Great Idea, Sounds Fair to me. John Schouten A very proud and Grey old Vanner.

Re: Header Pic
I would love to see a higher rotation of header pics on the forum. Group pics are awesome, and are a great way to show what we are all about. I also like the individual van feature suggestion as well. It is up to Rob and Rusty as they are the ones who know how to do it and have the Administrator rights on the forum needed to be able to do it.
I am more than happy to provide the pictures of the vans I do have and do the composition for them as I have done in the past, but it will still need to be changed by an administrator.

Re: Header Pic
No, of course not against members, i reckon it's a good idea. i just rather the group mentality rather than the 'individual' thing.
in other words i like the header pics the way they have been.
albeit more rotation would be nice, but that gets back to my 'get out in the vans in groups' and take more pics that would suit the header pics. that's all.
Why not for example put a group pic of the last van-in up there?
There was plenty of pics taken outside Ettamogah pub by lots of us..........
Just my

Gidday Guys
Rob is he Guru on changing the Header pics. For whatever reason he Forum Setup is not User Friendly when it comes to changing the Header pic.
Care needs to be taken, as it can change the whole display set up.
I've looked at the "How" a few times and it isn't simple as I think it should be.

Re: Header Pic
"If" the header picture was always named the same. I.E: header_pic.jpg and all replacement pictures were of the exact name. All you would have to do is remove and replace (or overwrite) the header_pic.jpg file within it the correct server folder.
As it stands it is being called from Rob's photobucket account and photobucket renames files upon upload.
So this requires the image scr address to be changed in the html/php file. Making it harder then it needs to be.
Still, nothing hard if you have access to the file.
Regards, Smooth

Re: Header Pic
I've worked out how to change the Header Pic in "Temporary Themes".
I just need to work out how to change the active one. I have a couple of ideas.
