interior materials
Anyone know where to buy velour and crushed velvet?
I bought mine years ago at michaels corner store in the city in melbourne, but that has of course since closed.
I still have my original archway from 35 years ago i did.
The front is royal blue velour and the back of it is bright red crushed velvet.
Both are the non stretch type and very high quality.
I know where to get panne velvet, but that's not what i'm after.
I just want plain blue velour and plain red crushed velvet if anyone knows anywhere to buy it?

Spotlight
But these things are seasonable.
Also look to furniture upholsterers.

Re: interior materials
It was once all the rage (never blue and red together) but it was everywhere. I remember Home Yardage being the place to go.
Waterbed manufacturers had miles of the stuff. So you might look some of these suppliers up (if you can still buy a waterbed?)
Good luck.

Re: interior materials
Thanks mate.
been looking for ages now and even bought samples from overseas so far.
I have more coming from england, but i'm not too confident.
and yes, you are correct it 'was' everywhere in the old days.
the cabin of my van was blue in the front and the rear was decked out in red.
hence the blue facing the front on the archway and the red facing the rear.

I'm not being a Smarty Pants, Red & Blue would certainly explode against each other. I reckon there was one or two who dared back in the day. I'll have to do some research to demonstrate the effect.

Oh! I know the effect Rusty.
I remember a few who dared including Midnight Mistress and even Robert's Discovery.
It has that Joker/Court Jester look going on dare I say Newcastle Knights look....
Sounds if though Greg separated the two colours from each other, that has to be a good thing in my mind at least!

yep it was basically all red in the back and all blue in the front.
the archway was the separating line of front and back.
