Eh van with a birth defect

Post  Blue Victor on Fri 11 Dec 2015, 11:26 pm

After 40+ years of loving vans I truly thought I'd seen it all, but then there was that Brown Bedford Statesman freak show from my home state .....................then a bit like Jaws, just as I thought it was safe to go back on to Ebay......... along comes this

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Holden-EH-EJ-Coachbuilt-high-top-delivery-van-Buckleys-and-Nunn-one-of-7-made-/321940829634?hash=item4af52b35c2:g:hO4AAOSwbdpWY90n

if that's a "lowline" canopy then I'd hate to see their highline model

Maybe it looks like this

It's advertised as a "hightop" delivery van, but built by the company lowline.
The good thing is it was never a van to start off with. it was a ute.
it was also ej, not eh.
the best part is it is now just another ute with a canopy! lol!

Hardly! affraid Yours is using a Station Wagon floor pan and so does the VU-VZ.
Only with yours somebody wanted it to be a Station Wagon and fitted the side windows. Somebody else obviously thought better of it!

It's only the turret that makes it a Panel Van shape. scratch

"only" the turret! lmao
that's pretty much half the car! lol!
and last time i checked my floorpan there's no provision for a back seat. Shocked
plus if you bothered to read the ad the i'd plate says 2106 (UTE)
2104 is panelvan.

Cool, nothing wrong with that. It's certainly a Van now! Ugly as a hat full but a great piece of Aussie history.
Seem to remember Ambulances built the same way. It obviously was built to do a job and probably did it well back in the day.
