I don't do facebook but I can tell you the under bonnet mirror is typically highly polished stainless steel or mirror back perspex from just about any glass supplier.

Haven't been on here for a while due to other commitments. Thought I'd share some new pics of Dazed. It's getting close to being back on the road. Have the auto electrician booked in for a months time, then I'll have to put the interior back in and then it'll be ready to start cruising in.

Thanks Smooth I'm pretty happy with the way Dazed looks. Sits nice and low so I think it'll look pretty mean on the street. I'm looking forward to that first drive in a few months time that's for sure

Dazed will be going to Summernats 31 for the first time since Summernats 6, I entered it on Sunday. Now I have no excuse not to finish it off by the end of the year.

Here are some more updated pics.

Looking Really Nice Jason! It sure is coming along. great

I can't quite make out whether that's Glass/Perspex above and behind the Doors or if its Paint. Please elaborate if you don't mind. Any chance of some photos of what's been done?

I hadn't really noticed it before.

Keep up the Great Work!

Thanks Rusty, yeah it's coming along nicely, but I'm obviously biased. The black and white around the top of the door, above and behind it is more airbrushing completed by Wayne Harrison. It's on both sides. Their is airbrushing everywhere on Dazed, there's even red waves done along the rear panels that go drone the back of the door to the tail lights. It's amazing work!!!

I purchased these the other day, 9.25" and 8". They are similar to what was on Dazed originally. They polished up a treat so I'll probably kept them as a spare set for when I get tired of the turbines. It's always good to have a second set I think. One of the 9.25" has a bad chip on the outside edge, but you don't really notice it, plus Dazed will be driven and only shown on occasions.

Yeah they're Cheviot (CSA) Armourlites. They should have black push in fake hex bolts in the holes.
Obviously a Australian rip off of the US Centerlines. Later they were re-released under the Globe branding as Globelines with chrome push in fake dome rivets.
They are very eighties. I should know I had them on my HT Panel Van in 1984 (see my avatar). I later replaced them with real Autodrag Centerlines and then the Van with a windowless version (still in the shed "Rumours").

I like them to a point. Always nice to have options.

I didn't really like the old poke thru the bonnet latches, so I bought some low profile push button type and fitted them this arv. I really like how they tidy the whole bonnet area up.

Yes there sure is Rusty. It's given me a must finish by deadline (which I think I'll meet easily), and I'm looking forward to letting people look at Dazed once again. I probably won't get some of the paint touch ups done, but I like that they are there, it's part of Dazed's history. I just keep telling my self to remember that it's a cruiser mostly not an elite show car. Thanks to all those that have given good feedback, it makes the journey worth while
