i reckon it will be a great spot too.
closer for the sth oz guys too!

Easter is between 14th 17th April next year bit of drive from here could be cool that time of the year down by the ocean might to bring a bubble along with 20lt fish oil

James Ellis is running the 2017 Nats apparently. James has been the owner of many show vans. Currently has "Jade".

Hey Smooth,

Just so you and others know, James Ellis is not running the 2017 Van Nats at Port Fairy. It is being hosted and staged by the Revs Van Club boys in Geelong.

And just quietly I cant think of a better town and venue to stage it. Anyone that has attended the Hot Rod Run they have there every January will kniow what I mean. Should be brilliant.

I was basing it on what the talk was after Rob's funeral in Tumut yesterday.
It was from people who attended Moe, 2016 so I'm not sure why they were misinformed?

Its all good mate. Not sure why they didnt know but I can assure you 100% that the REV Van Club in Geelong is staging it.

Blur, the event is still being run in Port Fairy by the REV Van Club of Geelong.

Hope this clears up the confusion.

nice location , i think it was thursday i was told rev vans were running it, plenty of room if it is held where the hot rod run is,
looking forward to it

I think the confusion was created when I shared a post on Facebook that was from James making the announcement of the location. When he made his announcement he didn't say who was running it.

Im a bit surprised by the lack of info out there foe the 2017 Nats.
2016 and 2015 were very well advertised on F/B and multiple van forums but im noting there are heaps of guys asking whats going on.

I thought I'd find something on http://www.vanning.org.au but I must be having a Bloke's look.

2017 Van Nats Flyer

Is it just me or does anybody else think that the promotion for this years 2017 Van Nats at Port Fairy seem a little low key? Hardly seen any discussion about it anywhere.

I suppose it depends who they have on board for promotion and what means they choose, but it doesn't seem to be the same.

I can't imagine it's easy after the success of the 40th.  The Guys & Gals put years into promoting it.

Thanks for posting the flyer mate. I agree completely with your comments regarding the Bathurst event. Just seems like there is very little discussion, even on the mainstream Facebook vanning pages. Shame really as I think port Fairy is an excellent location to stage it.
