cheers, whats the best road to take from lithgow to aviod sydney????

Once you come down the mountains, on the Great Western Highway, take the The Northern Rd exit. Turn right, follow this road all the way to Narellan.

At Narellan, you will encounter a roundabout, 2 sets of traffic lights, keep going, until you see an overbridge, turn right onto the Camden Bypass. Follow this road all the way, you will go over a long single lane bridge, travel on a four lane road and then it will revert to a single lane road. Go up and over the mountain range (Razorback) and keep going until you get to Picton.

At Picton, go straight through the town and under the railway line. Go up the hill until you get to a roundabout to Thirlmere. Turn right and follow this all the way, you will go through a small roundabout but keep going straight, until you get to another roundabout. Turn right, across the level crossing, with white gates, then turn left at another roundabout, follow this road all the way along until you get to Michell Rd. Then turn right. Be careful when turning into my street as its top of a slight rise and locals hoon along this stretch. My street is also before the turn off to Thirlmere National Park, which you can see once you get to the top of the slight rise.

Just an update.

I am frantically trying to finish off the painting of the 2 houses but they will be ready by Easter. They have to be!

I forgot to add that the nearest Liquor Shop is at Picton or Tahmoor. There is also a pub in Thirlmere. Very very important. How could I forget???

Not long now boys & girls.

The lawn has been mowed, the painting is nearly complete and the BBQ has been tested.

Just need to pray for good weather.

I will have some party balloons on the letterbox, so that if you come later, you wont miss the place.

Look forward to seeing everyone again.

I will be doing a day trip on Saturday. Have to work Friday and Sunday

The weather forecast is fine tomorrow and Saturday, and mostly cloudy on Sunday.

The BBQ is working, the painting is finished and the house is cleaned.

Just need some grub, grog, and music, and we will have a good time.

Nar mate its been reduced to a two day(Saturday-Sunday) event so Rusty and me are cruising down in the morning! Was hoping to catch you there, hope to see a few new faces.

Great weekend, accidently found the meeting place trying to find the new MV clubhouse! Excellent to catch up with everyone especially Mark, Lance and Josh who I haven't seen in ages, big thanks to Mark for supplying the meat for the BBQ!
Good to catch up with all the MV regulars including Sean and his little brother Jamie! Also had the pleasure of catching up with Rhino and Chris and got to meet Jessie.
Got to meet a vanning legend Greg Mercer and his lovely wife and got my Van Wheels autographed to go with my other signed Van Mags! Learnt a heap more about Invader 2001 and let Greg know about my recent progress in finding it!
Had an awesome night of laughs and van history 101 with the "power point" presentations!
Huge thanks to Sean for buying the MV clubhouse and hosting our weekend, super effort mate!

Thank you for your warm welcome on the day and into the club, had a great time reminiscing about old times that I had almost forgotten, great to match faces to post names, great lunch by Sean, wanted to stay longer but hope to have some good times together on the net or in person in the near future
