Figtree Show 1984

i enteredd my van in the Figtree show in 1984 which was held on a roof top car park.
i cruised down from Liverpool with about 8 vans and on the way home there was a convoy of around 40 to 50 vans which ncluded members of both westside and pacific and several other clubs

I was wondering if anyone has any pics of the show?

Got any pics of your old van? If so start a new thread in van register for it! Do you know where it is now?
Ive got video footage of a roof top car show in Sydney just not sure what show it is.

I'm pretty sure that was one of the shows my old man was involved running. Will ask him over the next week or so if he has any photos.

This is me out front of Bass Hill drive in for a van night


From memory it was a Red S or Safeway shop

There was a dark blue L34 right in the middle, a cream van with rams and a huge scoop and a mate had his HQ van (barbados sort of colour) which had those extra lower windows on the upper tailgate

on te way back i was in the middle and Neil in his silver Bedford as behind me. The cruise was going quite smooth until the front van (Neil from Westside, in a blue HQ) overtook a car that was going clow and all of a sudden everyone went nuts

I was doing 100mph at one stage and had a van pass me like i was standing still. Someone later told me it was turboed

I remember your beddy mate,I wasn't on that run you are talking about though but the drive in night's back then were good fun whether they were at Bass hill Blacktown and the no longer Penrith Drive in.

there was 2 or 3 full rows that night - it was mad

never went to the Penrith (kingswood way) but i have been there to see it, you can see where the projection booth was
