Whats she worth? Realistically?
Hey guys
Just thinking quietly to myself about selling the ute to put funds towards an HQ-WB panelvan (My all time favorite car) I get my open licence in 5 months so I am starting to get excited about driving a V8..
Just wondering what sort of figures would I be looking at on the old girl being worth?
Have a look at it here
http://gallery.oldho...
-It currently has an awesome blue 2.8 6 that can quite happily do 600k's to a tank yet is more torquey & powerfull than the mild red 6 it had.
-Central Locking!
-10 Bolt 3.08 diff
-GTS dash, Grill, spoiler & headlight surrounds
-New fully recoed rebuilt Varajet carby. Runs bloody beatifull
-Twin exhaust's (Has a Sweet note)
-Twin thermos to keep her coooooooooooooool
-I give up as It's got too much to right out...
Would I have trouble finding takers?

Re: Whats she worth? Realistically?
Whats she worth? Interesting question mate lets consider the facts and figures......
Neat and tidy old ute = definate positive
First car? = definate positive
So if you factor these in to the equation and times it by the denominator (the most important part!).....
Neat old ute + First car x built it with your dad = PRICELESS in my opinion.
If I could've built my first car with my dad they'd bury me in the beast because I'd never part with it, the memories tied up in the old girl make it part of your life and you and your dad created her together.
Trust me mate if you sold the ute, you'd be kicking yourself in the Bottom for the rest of your life, if it's at all possible buy a van to do up and keep the ute, even if you put the ute in storage for future use one day it beats selling it.
Cheers Rob

With Rob on this one. Don't sell it....
Just buy a panel van body shell. Paint it up, that way you could use the everything off your ute (doors, lower tail gate, front window, your interior, wiring wiper motor brakes, chassis.... everything but the ute body its self) and that way you would still have your first car. Not to mention you could still do it with your old man and would be improving the ute once again.
Food for thought

I no what you mean
Some days it can be a right pain in the , and you just wana but than when its sorted I can still think to myself, I wouldnt have it any other way..
The ute was only suppose to be a "little" project till a neat enough van came along for sale than I would just flog the ute off... Never did I imagine falling in love with a Belmont..
To be honest, I cant even begin to imagine the thought of a new owner jumping behind the wheel to take it away from me
