Remote control Tamiya van.
I thought I'd chuck up some pics of an RC car I built recently. I always wanted a Tamiya RC as a young fella but these things were expensive as and mum and dad weren't loaded so I had to wait until now.
The amazing thing is how cheap they are now!!!
Here's some pics of it from the start, painted over three days with rattle cans.
Lots of bits!!!
I bought a bearing upgrade kit to throw in it before I started.
Big body shell!
After a few hours later......................

Re: Remote control Tamiya van.
After it was built, I drove it heaps before I started painting it to try and learn how to drive!
I bought some chrome wheels off a Midnight Pumpkin since I wasn't going to paint my van to match the box art.
Here it is next to a 1/25 scale VW.
Than after some primer I shot some colour on it finally..
After it had dried I masked it up, I was on a strict time frame to have it on the display only table at the NNL Titles so I painted it over a 3 day period.
Gold first.
Bit of gunmetal and silver.
Throw on some clear red.
Blend in some clear orange....I love rattle cans!!
Than start to unmask...
Unmasked!!!
Windscreen surrounds painted and chrome screwed back on.
And finally finished!!!
