Re: Introduce yourself Here!
G'day all,
I'm new to the forum and thought I would introduce myself. I haven't got my hands on a van yet however, I'm nearing the end of a restoration on a 1978 HZ Premier wagon (was my daily for the past 10 years), and will want another project to move on to no doubt. Hopefully the picture below comes through ok, it has a colour filter on it but you get the idea.
Cheers,
David

new old vanner
Hi Majestic Vanners,
Well its been 25 years since my last van and finally I have come full circle and have rekindled my passion for them.
Last week I bought this gumtree special a 93 XF Falcon PV totally bog stock with the mighty 250 carbed crossflow and slushbox.
Back in the early 80's I owned several project Holden PV's, the first one I started modifying was a courier car I worked hard.
(pictured) 76 HX PVan 208,Yellow Terra, 7 and 8in Hotwires on BFG / Kelly Springfield supra 5 speed, poverty pack fuel injection (triple 1/34SU' s), competition cams, headers etc. she was the quickest in the fleet which scored me the best jobs. I later rebuilt it several times and sold her in 92.
Plans for the Falcon aren't determined yet but I've never owned anything stock. base colour will stay white because of my business colour scheme. I hope to learn about other projects and get some great ideas and maybe pass on some previous knowledge too.

Re: Introduce yourself Here!
Welcome Geoff,
The old HX sounds a bit of a goer, the XF looks pretty straight too.
It's a bit quiet on here now but there's heaps of info in old posts and the dudes that are still here are very knowledgeable.
Cheers, Mark.

Re: Introduce yourself Here!
Hi Geoff,
Welcome aboard.
I used to have an XF near identical to yours in the 80's - 90's. I was working as a musician, and had the back fully carpeted out so I could cart the band gear for gigs, or go to the drive-in in style. Loved it. And I can't find a single photo of it anywhere now....
Anyway, all the best with the new project.
-Rohan.

Re: Introduce yourself Here!
Thanks for the Welcome, Mark and Rohan,
Somehow I managed not to put this introduction in the proper thread, sorry about that mods.
I'll post some pictures of what I'm be doing to the van as well as some of my truck projects currently underway if anyone is interested.
Look forward to reading other build threads.

Hi All - My name is Justin and I'm a self confessed petrolsexul. Love anything with an engine. Along with my wife Kerry, we own a fleet of Fords. Wildtrak Ranger, FPV GT, XBGT, super low km 2 owner EA Fairmont Ghia and currently in the market to replace my wife's car.....maybe a Mustang?? We also just recently finished restoring a Ford XD Sundowner which we will be taking to the PV nationals in Vic during Easter. I look forward to catching up with any members that may also be attending the nationals....come up and say hi. You wouldn't miss the red van with yellow and orange stripes down each side and across the back.

Welcome aboard Justin & Kerry!
Love your Sundowner. A Very Nice Restoration.
It's extremely hard to miss.
Unfortunately I won't be at the Van Nats, but there will be plenty of others. I look forward to seeing you both at this year's Hervey Bay Van-In and State Van Titles.

G'day Malcolm,
Welcome mate. Where are you from?
Your Van sounds nice, pictures?
I remember a Van named "Bloodshot" from Western Australia. I drooled around it in 1980.
Tell us some stories and post some pictures. Gain admiration from us all.
Regards, Smooth
