Gundagai Gathering
Theres a track, winding back, to an old fashioned shack. Along the road to Gundagai!
A great song to sing while travelling in the Van for anyone interested in coming along for a gathering on the long weekend. Looking at an overnight stay Saturday 3rd October. Possibility to stay the Sunday night aswell. We are looking at getting numbers ASAP so we can organise things. With Covid19, we want to do the right thing and have our numbers to just 20 in attendance so we dont break any rules etc. We have chosen the Caravan Park in Gundagai situated on the Murrumbidgee River. They have told us they have an area that would suit us to camp in a group with our Vans/tents. They dont have anything available in their cabins. They have BBQs available for people to use and the amenities block is open for use.
We haven't planned anything down to the final details just yet, as we want numbers 1st so we can then plan things. We have a few ideas in mind for a cruise/photo ops if people are wanting to do so, and there is also pubs and the club that I'm sure we can book into for a meal as another option. But again.. it's the numbers we need to go ahead with plans.
So feel free to send a message through here, to myself or Peter and let us know if you would like to attend. We have had this suggested by a couple of fellow Majestic Members and we thought it was definitely time to have some kind of face to face happening.
Anyone also up Sydney way or above.. if you know of a spot to do a similar thing on the long weekend, we would appreciate the effort anyone puts In to have a meet happen up that way. We will be willing to do what we can from down here to help, but if we have someone step up and knows the area who can do this.. will see much more happen in the future.
It would be wonderful to be able to know the ins and outs of our tiny 801,150 km state of NSW.. but with us being so wide spread.. it just isn't possible. Especially still during these covid times. We would love nothing more than to look at a weekend up Sydney or the Central Coast area when we know we are free to simply come and go with no restrictions. But any help others are willi g to put in will see hopefully see NSW come alive again! Like we now it can be!
Anyways.. shoot us a msg/inbox/reply and let us know so we can start things rolling.
Cheers everyone! VIC keep safe..we think of you always! And MV Rocks!

Re: Gundagai Gathering
So Peter and I went for a drive to Gundagai today to have a look at the Caravan Park this afternoon. The very kind and lovely lady there has offered to close us off 1 whole end of the park that has power for us to have available for whoever wishes to come along.
She said she can hold it for us until next Friday the 25th September. We need to have our numbers in by this day so we can let her know.. and also so she doesnt lose business herself if other people wish to book.
It will cost $30 a night and $7 for children. We said we will be staying there the Saturday and Sunday night, but what ever you may decide is up to your own personal preference.

Nice Work Anastasia & Pete.
At least you can find things on here easily. Not so easy on WasteBook at times!

Re: Gundagai Gathering
We know some may choose to hold off still with travelling, that some may have other plans, that it may not fit what some may want to do.. but we are going off suggestions from fellow members and doing what we can.
BUT I NEED NUMBERS BY TOMORROW, FRIDAY 25TH IF ANYONE WANTS TO STAY AT THE CARAVAN PARK. We are currently "holding" spots and need to let them know as they have people wanting to book in.
Nothing is set in stone just yet, as we thought we will work out things when we know numbers.
Cheers!
Anastasia & Peter

Re: Gundagai Gathering
As a follow up let me say a bit thanks to Anastasia & Pete fort the Gundagai weekend !!
Weather was great, venue was great, company was great.
With Gundagai being sorta kinda centralish for Southern/Riverina MV'ers, I think it's well worth going back there.
Cheers, Rohan.
