Re: That picture thread
Nice work with Gimp there Leonie.
It's a really powerful Programme and best part is it's Free.
I use it for modifying photos for our Work webSite.
I've still got lots to learn about it.
regards
Rusty!

Re: That picture thread
Sorry to hack into this thread.
Is the a free program that you can get to change colour of the van without changing the detail?
I saw ages ago that Jon had changed Checkmate from the original colour into a purple, but it still had the defining darker stripes on it.
I'd just like to experiment with my HZ's colour.

Gidday Craig
I haven't tried that yet, perhaps Leonie has.
It lets you do all sorts of things like when you use a wide angle lense and things Skew, you can straighten them up; and you can stick pics on pics like Leonie has.
.... and It's Free, try downloading it and having a play.

Re: That picture thread
ahaha ive been trying to change the colour of my pano using gimp, but not really having any luck with that part. i can change the colour of the car only, mastered that, but u have to play around with the hue, saturation, and colourize or something. ill show u what ive got so far. not sure if they dont work well as the car is a bit dull being white so glossy parts dont show up so much? i think photoshop is better for things, but it costs bucketloads! but looks like it works better, haha as my cousin kindly demonstrated on my facebook wall (after cloning me on my bonnet a couple times) he then made an orange car hot pink. gimp doesnt seem to change the colours as sharply nor as many colours? they all look a bit 'dirty' i think? i think rusty is better at gimp than me, by the sounds! not sure what the wide angle lense and skew in on gimp, (theres a lot of things i cant select on there and im not sure how to aquire more options)
heres my attempt at gimp colour change haha it really sucks. it didnt look transparent enough, if that makes sense. so then i tried adding some tones to help. all out failure. its probably im missing something, or doing something wrong. LOL

Re: That picture thread
Funny you mention that! actually ran a 10.790, 5 thousands of a second quicker than its previous best run! MPH was down slightly though and 60ft time was slower which indicates better mid track accelaration = nice, & sticker didnt blow off at 122mph
You will note that I pulled the wiper arms off so they wouldnt obstruct the sticker as well

Just saw this. Some is a "Supernatural" fan, huh?
This is also the car the wife wants, but the 67 pillar less are fetching good money these days. Besides, I think I'd have to enlarge my shed.
