Re: 2011 van nationals
Josh,
I was at the same table with my family earlier on, but they returned to the campsite after the kids presentation, I came back by myself to hear the van presentations. I was sitting next to you, with Chris the owner of the black HR 'SINBIN' opposite us, with James the owner of the LTD fronted 'INSMN8' and 'Bad Company' (not at show) sitting at the end of the table. There was also another couple from the Diamond Valley Vanners sitting next to me that had young kids.
I remember making the comment to you that you probably only missed out on top van because your under car was not on display, you said something along the lines that you 'built it to drive it'. - From the looks of your feature in Street Machine it looks plenty neat underneath for me!
How did you find us here at majestic vanners? I had a sticker on the windscreen of my van displaying the website at the nats, or maybe Andrew (Serendipity) gave you a card?
Awesome to have you on here, you will find the majestics a very friendly and helpful bunch, with a wealth of information on on the history of show vans.
We will be trying to organise a Victorian chapter of the Majestic Vanners
get-together/cruise soon, I hope that we can meet up again!
Cheers,
Karl.

Re: 2011 van nationals
I'm pretty sure Al that you, Karl, Perry, Troy, Andrew, Andrew ( ) Sam, Steve and the rest of the Vic MVers could do a run/BBQ easily enough, just a matter of sorting out a time, date, venue and doing it. But take pics for the forum!!!
Do it guys! Got to be done and you guys are the men! And women!

Welcome aboard Josh.
I'm looking forward to seeing some more pics of your SWEET Van and reading about some of he challenges you faced with the build.
Always Luv a Good Custom.
Have you ever seen Pics of Jigsaw, a white FJ I remember from a few Shows Qld in the 80's? I think I saw it's still together and in good nick, but I'll stand corrected.
Excellent feature in Steet Machine.
Regards
Rusty!

Re: 2011 van nationals
Karl,
Ive got you worked out now. You were on my left. I recon we both voted for the same van for entrants choice. That maroon hj. I think it was a hj?
I found out about majestics from a mate.
Yeah I remember the conversation about under the van too. It is actually all painted and detailed but not anywhere as good as the others. If I had of showed it I would have been there for a week cleaning it. Its built to drive so Im not too concerned about underneath. Although at the moment Ive got the exhaust off getting coated!!
Thanks Rusty and Freemason. Glad you liked it. Must say that my windscreen bloke was not real impressed! I stuffed his business name up and actually put his direct competition. I put Central vic instead of country vic!!
I dont recall seeing a pic of jigsaw. Ive got a few van pics of the past but not jigsaw.
Count me in on a cruise!
Josh

Hey Josh, Jigsaw was a FJ sedan not van, it had Camira? headlights and some other late model tail lights, was pretty well done but had the sort of styling you either loved...........or hated!
Cheers Rob

Yep that was me!
I did vote for the maroon HJ, I think the rims and the side pipes did it for me.
Plus the removal of the roof drip rail and deletion of the top body pressing was interesting, created a smooth look.
It would awesome If you good join us on our cruise, post up a suggestion in the MV VIC thread, we are trying to work out a place to go.
Cheers,
Karl.
