Re: venting topic
the other halves dad tried to tell me that my panelvans chassis is "full of rust" as he has "been having a good look at it" interesting considering i am always home when he is here, and he has not once gone into the shed with it, and there is no room in there, and its got flat tyres so you cannot get under it anyways!! its one thing to insult my car (which isnt funny anymore) another to lie to me about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i know my chassis is good! the car got through regency when it was defected!!!!!!!!!!!! they went over it with a fine toothed comb (inspector actualy said he was surprised my car was all metal, as they get a lot in that are repaired but not with metal through the body) and before that, an engineer fixed a tiny crack in my chassis, and he said it is one of the better HQ chassis he had seen in a while as no rust!

Its a shame we don't live closer Leonie. I'm sure we most of us would be over there helping you screw your van together for you to get out and cruze your loved one again.

Re: venting topic
yeah a lot like that i guess. its just that he hates it, and likes to stir me up over it. but after 3 years of being stirred up, its not funny now . did the same about my horses that one plays with the fence, as he sat and watched him for ages. hes never sat and watched him. and he doesnt play in the fence. he gets stuck in the fence cos its falling apart thanks to sheep, cows, skippys. the worst he does is now its broken, lean over it for about 10 min. the cows constantly push through it. but its as no one likes horses here they cop the blame
he wants my ls1 to put into his mighty boy LOL its as big as the mighty boy!! he is a porsche, mg, VW, audi man. and everyone is entltled to their own opinions, thats fine. but when its over and over critisism its not nice anymore i called a cube ugly and then found out the owner was right there. so went and apologised as felt awful for saying it was ugly infront of the owner. OH had yelled at me and told me how rude i was. yet its ok for his dad to do the same to me? over and over?
thanks jonny james yeah if i lived closer to lots of you my pano would currently be cruising the streets again
this doesnt count as venting, but i had an awesome dream lastnight! i was cruising around in an impala!! and had a hunk from supernatural in the passengers seat crusing with me wonder if the impalas are really like that to drive cant wait to find out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

rare spares arrgh
my electric windows the universal kit i was assured that would fit and work better than ever
it arrived i questioned why it was in a brown cardbord box with no printing or part no on the box i asked the open the box to check the contense then i noteced the motor was fixed to the bottom of the drive rail i explained this probly wont fit as i have limited internal door space and the glass wouldnt go al the way down he says pay for ti take it home mesure it up if it dosent fit bring it back for a refund
i do so and it will not fit and wind the window alll the way down at its lowest point it will still have half the glass exposed i take the window winder back and explain that thay wont work and the response i got was stagering
he tryed to tell me that in an ej the windows dont go down that far from factory
and it being a universal kit the glass isnt supposed to go all the way down and that rare dont refund incorrect purchases
by this time i was livid and had the attention every one in the store customers and staff alike i walked him out to my van and kindly showed him how the factory windows go from the top to the bottom and it was FACTORY i walked him back in the store and demanded my money back and he had the nerve to offer me an exchange not a refund i i gave him the counter offer of giving me my money or ill take the hour of my life he just wasted out of HIS LIFE PLUS INTEREST

Re: venting topic
My rant for the week....
Got the HQ ute in to fit up a new front window.
I sent the ute down with no front window in and the chrome strips all freshly polished sitting in the shed at home.
Picked it up today. Started to fit up the chrome strips.... bloody things fighting me as soon as the first one touched the car.
could not for the life of me be able to get the bottom ones to sit right... Did some more investigating and found that the differences to the other 3 HQs in my yard is the windscreen sits about 5mm further out due to to much black sikaflex under the screen. Not happy. Will be taking the ute back to them tomorrow and show them so no one else has the same paint scratching fight I have had today.
Cheers Jon

Had exactly the same problem with a gt I was working on in January rear screen 5mm proud of where it should be! Paint scratching was not an option but abusing the fitter was!Jonny James wrote:My rant for the week....
