Holden closes Stick This decals

Hi all, has anyone else on this forum heard that Holden has closed "Stick This" decals. Jason made quality reproduction Sandman stickers for the whole Sandman range. From this point on there will be no more for sale along with all the other products Jason produced, a sad day for anyone restoring a Sandman.

thats f#cked mate, poor bloke, and how can holden justify this? its not like theyre bloody makin them anymore

Apparently it is something to do with Rare Spares having the rights to all of the early holden copies.
He received a letter from the lawyers laying down the law, good luck trying to get Rares to do the same quality as Jason's.

I can see both sides to this arguement, if he didn't have permission to reproduce them than he's lucky to have been able to do them in the first place without a lawsuit.
Copyright exists for a reason, even though this may sound unfair it's there to protect people and companies from getting ripped off, not much point spending a fortune and the time coming up with something only to have someone rip it off and make money from it.
I wonder if all of the other guys making them got letters too or just him??

I don't mind if Rare Spares made good quality products, but they make rubbish. So I'm not happy that they
want to sell cheap crap to make a dollar with out any consideration for their customers ( enthusiasts)
because they want to make CHEAP MONEY at our expence. Not Happy JAN!!!!!!!

I will admit Phil, I'd be happier if their products fitted better and weren't made in China!

well we make reproduction comet windmill parts and have been sued by comet, when it went to court my boss won because he was advertising them as non-genuine/aftermarket. stick this would be doing the same so why has he had to shut down??? why doesnt holden go after the taiwanese making repro tailgates and guards??? utter stupidity i think.

Rare Spares do not make any parts from my knowledge....

Everything is sourced from other people who repo parts, put them in a rare spares box and sell them at mad prices.

Would not surprise me if they ask Jason to make them again for rares. If rares haven't already got someone to make them for them.

If holden has stopped him making stickers, they must still sell them as a gen part.As if rare spares sold them, their law dogs would have sent the letter.

he makes full length sandman roof linings too james. i dont think holden would still sell them

Holden Would have copyrights on the stickers.... this is why they would put a stop to him selling them.

If you don't have Holden's permission to copy there copyrights than they will more than likely put a stop to people making money off their designs.
