All I can say is if its anything like work on Jag's (also Lucas) wiring than I would rip all the wiring out and start from scratch.

Had to get the old mans jag ready for rego one year and a tail light was out.... check the fuse at the fuse box no problems. Check for power at the fuse box yep got power.... check power at the tail light.... Nothing pull the best part of the interior out to see for broken wire. Had continuity from fuse to back fire wall. Check from taillight back to as close to the rear fire wall as possible (has 60 litre gas tank under parcel shelf) got continuity aswell. Look in the jag work shop manual just in case they put a fuse up under the parcel shelf and what do you know they do! So not being able to change the fuse because of the gas tank in the road we had to run a bridging wire from inside the cab to the boot. Easy enough done. Start to put the car back together and noticed the other tail light out crap somewhere along the line we must had shorted the other tail light circuit out (yes jag run a circuit and 2 fuses for each tail light) four hours later we had tail lights working....

aww LOL! at one stage if you turned the cd player on in mine all the lights went out haha. common tactic from the prince of darkness the banana is what i think of hte prince of darkness SQUASH HIM LOL!

One solution is a painless wiring 18 or 24 circuit wiring kit! all new wires all new joins all pleasant wiring.
