Hi :)
Hi there
Craig from Bayswater Vic here... Was sorta around the van scene early 80s with friends in Eastern Suburbs. My band back then did a few vanner functions and played at one Nats. Am 51 now and have had a WB van kicking around for a while. Got it pretty straight and did most of the suspension and removed rust. Ran outta money and time a few years ago but now i am gearing up to getting it back on the road. Seriously looking at LS1 now (have a motor and looking for an auto) and hope this time I can stay with it
Cheers
Craig

Re: Introduce yourself Here!
thanx folks...
Yeah its been sitting for a few years but its gaining momentum again. Was going to persist with a GMH v8 but now committed to the LS1. Just got an auto. Have the LS1 from my VY SS (400,000km so may need a freshen up) and chasing mounts and wiring. Exhaust teed up so now there is no turning back

hi im new to majestic vanners
hi im lambchop
I own a 1999 falcon van (xh?) its not done up or anything, plain white, ex prison service or police as there are mounts for a cage inside, I think it might be a dog van which is appropriate. Its not done up or anything, infact a friend of mine calls it a shed on wheels- which was a bit rich as I was moving stuff for him at the time.
But it has developed an interesting habit...the allegedly Smart Lock prevents you from starting the car about half the time, this is easily remedied by a sharp tap to the underside of the dash. Quite why this circumvents the smartlock I will never know but it does. So does anyone know amore permanent way of bypassing the smartlock or resetting it?
oh and im thinking of selling it so if anyone might be interested I live in Brunswick.

RE: Getting to Know You
Hi just joint the forum, My name Brett and my wife is Holly, we brought our first van about 17 years ago. We cruised in it as a daily driver for a few years and eventually did it up together as a replica Sandman. Today we own an Original HX Sandman which we get out whenever we can.
Looking forward to being part of the Vanning forum.
