Hey JJ, can you email me a bigger version of this to use as the header?????? I've tried using small pics before and it does fill the top up.

Re: Majestic Vanners - Forum Header
Cheers for putting the HQ up as the forum header.
When it popped up last night I was instantly taken back to that time and place...
I was pretty frustrated at the time, the van had been giving me grief for the day before, running rich for most of the cruise, deteriorating to the point that it was running on 7 cylinders by the time I left the sound and light show that night.
After not being able to even get it to run on the morning of the show and shine I gave up, everyone else had already made there way to Albury. I jumped in the car with the wife and kids and proceeded to the show and shine to try and enjoy the day with everyone else.
Once I arrived I was quickly approached by Rhino who had already spoken to Peter about getting his mate that dropped his van off to come out and pick up mine. 'If you get it here, we have that many Mechanics amongst us mate, we'll get you going!'
A quick phone call was made and I was in a truck to go pick up my van from the campsite. When we arrived at the show and shine with the van on the back of the truck, I tried one last go at starting it - and she fired into life! I quickly grabbed reverse flew off the back of the truck, kept the revs up, grabbed first and quickly made my way to position in the line up for the show sounding like an angry, lumpy, drag car. I killed the motor pulled the hand brake and that was where she sat for the duration of the show.
After the presentations this picture was the scene, Majestic Vanners gathering around trying to work out what the hell was going on with my van. I was humbled by the amount of support that was given to me that day, even more than the fact they decided to award me the 'hard luck' award for the weekend.
It was eventually figured out that it was the alternater that was causing all my problems, even though it was initially blamed on the shiney new Holley on top!
I had a 10 van convoy following me back to camp and after a couple more stops and jump starts the faulty alternator was diagnosed, a fresh battery was swapped out for the rest of the journey, and within 20 minutes of arriving at camp a replacement alternater was delivered!
So this picture is very special to me, it is a reminder of the spirit of the Majestic Vanners that I experienced at Easter, a club full of members that go the extra mile and do what ever they can to help each other out. A great club with great people, a real credit to everyone involved.
MV FOREVER!

Re: Majestic Vanners - Forum Header
Great Story man, I remember talking to you about it at the time (well before it was diagnosed) thats a great way of ending the day though. Tops to see so much help out there. I feel the same with my Falcon, so many people (some whom I have never even met) have come out of the woodwork to offer advice and assistance. even offers of parts! the vanning community is a strong one. A good people are helping it stay that way. I also seem to recall a large number of people around the yellow WB fixing its engine at the campsite? another great example! Keep up the good work MV folks!

If you buy Street Machine, you would have noticed this pic in the "On Any Sunday" section a few editions ago.
