The new toy...
Decided to get a new daily driver recently to replace the twin turbo Soarer I have been driving for a bit over three years. It was my first experience of an import turbo (offered to me by my step-brother for a too good to refuse price). While it was a great car - quick, handled well and comfortable. When things started going wrong, being an import, it was expensive.
So wanting to get back into an Australian car, I started looking at Monaros (late model ones) but in the price range I was looking at the examples I was seeing were just not up to scratch, you would think being such an icon people would take better care of them! So after a few weeks searching I gave up, for the sort of money they wanted for decent ones I could get a much later model.
So not wanting to over extend myself and save a bit of money, and with a taste for turbos, I went for another modern Australian cult car - An XR6 Turbo!
And here she is:

I have always sat on the fence when it comes to cars, people would ask me if I'm ford or holden man, and I would answer; "I am a cars man, I don't discriminate, I appreciate all good cars"
Any cool car under the Ford, GM, or Mopar banners are fine by me!!
I would even have an Aston Martin if I could afford one!!!

Thanks for the comments guys!
The wife is getting excited as she gets to drive it Albury with the kids!
I gotta be carefull, the van might have a hard time keeping up, or it might be the case we are pushing each other all the way! Gotta watch those speed cameras!
Na, should be cool, if all goes to plan we will be heading up in convoy with some other vans/vanners and we will all stick together.
