Re: CIRCUS TIME (bathurst)
I'd rather be stuck in Bathurst than hospital.
Not happy. It was my turn to do the fuel this year.

Re: CIRCUS TIME (bathurst)
Back when I was a youngster, we did 5 years in a row and stopped in 1997 when Brocky retired. Only had accomodation one year, slept in swags on the side of the road the other four.
Atmosphere is great but to be honest, it's not a place to take a nice car or your female other half. It gets pretty rough up the top of the hill.
You see more on tele, dont have to cue up to use the loo and your drinks aren't flat.
Having said that I'd like to go up one year as a group and camp at Jon's, so that when we get sick of it we can watch it on tele and cruise back and forth to the track but not endure a whole day there. Or we could book a corporate box!

Re: CIRCUS TIME (bathurst)
Camped up top in '89 with a group of mates, DEFINATELY not a place for females!
Camped up top in 2000 with the Mrs, had no drama's at all (wolf whistles and show us your...., but nothing compared to Summernats.
Took 15yr old daughter up to the top yesterday, was a bit concerned (as dad's are), but no drama's at all. (wolf whistles etc were standard).
Have gone every Saturday for the last 4 years and watched race on Sunday at home.

The Torana's must have done a run on Saturday as we went to Blayney and passed about 50ish. Still surprised at how many didn't wave to a tired old yellow ute! Bloody shinny bums!
