Autobarn Narre Warren - 17/12/2012

There was a post on the Van Nationals facebook page inviting those with vans to attend a car display at Autobarn in Narre Warren tonight.

I rang Leland the guy who posted it to let him know I was coming and he was happy to hear I was, telling me he was in the build of his own WB van.

The trouble is my van decided it was going to play funny buggers again like it did at easter and start running on 5 cylinders again. Experience told me the replacement alternater had sh!t itself and a quick pull of the brushes confirmed it...



Thats when I decided the van wasn't going anywhere, so I just jumped in the car and drove down to check it out. There was a few nice cars there and some mobile PA systems as well.

Had a great chat with Leland, he has some great ideas for his van build. Told him all about the forum and he was keen to get on here and check it out. I hope that he jumps on and shares his build with us soon. One thing I will say that the van has just to wet the appetite - Tunnel rammed 400 Chev with over 500HP! Can't wait for him to share his ideas with the rest of you, he is going to fit in here just fine!

I met another guy named Kane who's Falcon is in the build, he should find his way here also. He also has some great ideas for his van. He found our facebook page and should find his way here shortly too. I will load a couple of pics of his van tomorrow. His mate is building a WB van and I told him to get him on here too.

So we should have three new forum members from my trip to the display!

Great work Karl, the old forum's a buzzin' and so is the Wastebook page.

Thats so good promo work dragging three from the one show, looking forward to seeing their pics and sharing their input on here.
