Majestic Vanners 2013 Van In October 5th-7th Long Weekend.

Guys,I just wanted to get a thread going for the 2013 van in Remenber this is our event and as the first one was a success I am sure this one will be even better.
If you have any ideas please put them forward,even if you do not own a van everyone who has owned on and is enthusiastic is more then welcome to come to the event,last year was a great event had by all who attended and a lot of new friendships were forged as well.
So guys before we know it october will be here,I am looking forward to catching up with everyone from last year and meeting new enthusiasts this year

Yep, looking forward to this!!

Awesome event last year, and this year is set to be even bigger!

Everyone is welcome to attend; Old Vanners, New Vanners, Club Members, Independants, old Fans, new fans, Street Machiners & Rodders!

Like Tony said you don't have to own a van, you can just be a fan. We want to celebrate the glory days of Vanning and promote vanning to a whole new generation of fans. Majestic Vanners are all about uniting as many vanners as possible. So come along, bring the family and joins us for a weekend of fun at an old fashioned Van-In!

Some of the activities planned are:

* A cruise day on the Saturday where our van convoy will take in the sights of the local area and stop somewhere for a group lunch.

*A sound and light display on the Saturday night.

*The 'Sinners and Saints' Show and shine on Sunday, with trophies awarded to the most popular in each category as judged by the entrants.

Everyone on here is welcome to come up with suggestions as to what they would like to see at this years event. The Van-In is for the people, and your input is greatly appreciated. Last years event was an enormous success, and we are looking for ways in which we can improve it to create a unique and enjoyable event for all that attend.

Location is Albury/Wodonga, with camp HQ located at a camp beside the Hume wier. The camp has a hall with full kitchen facilities, showers and toilets.

What about a fancy dress night,ie:70's,80's era vanning attire,hawian shirts ,hi hip jeans ie: eastco,Westco,connie cardigan or whatever I can't think of,gives you plenty of time to grow the hair long,if ya still got it lol,just a thought,cheers Glenn

You can dress any way you want Glenn, there's no real dress code.

As for a fancy dress night................well we can all vote on that but I'm saying no, you wont have time mate, we run a full on schedule!!

We did some "era" correct pics at the nats this year but I think the whole fancy dress thing has been flogged to death.

i am in the planing of the pig mark II i have alredy made a proto type hot plate i was testing tonight around the neighbours place works grate just needs refining

also i need a new name for it because pigs dont stand on there hind legs do they?

You may have to call it a fire breathing stallion mate as they stand on their hind legs.

i dont know about that one might be a but hard to say after a few rums im thinking on incorporating hot water with this one

Jon you also have the hall there as well with all the amenties,I used a tent last year until the last night as I and 3 others stayed in there so we didn't have to pull our tents down in the morning.
For this year I will be staying in there the whole weekend just set my bed up and thats it good to go

I'm overcommitted with the thing that pays the "Bills" at the moment.

I'm focussing on getting this back on Track to show our appreciation for the Sponsors who've already come on Board and those in the wings.

I am hoping that I have the revamped interior project done by then....no more shagpile & mirror tiles etc, if I havent got the meterials all by then then Ill bring it up in the current surf/snowboard guise!
