Re: ACA last night
Enough's enough.
Most Taxi's and family hacks on the road would have more issues than the cars they targeted, it's got a pod filter and it's loud.......yep that makes it a death trap for sure.
How about all the unmodified cars on the road with suspension faults and bald tyres??????
In my time as a mechanic I seen more sh1t wrong with everyday cars than the modified ones, the highlight of my career????
Getting a defect in our gold LH Torana for having a tyre that was wearing unevenly. Front left tyre with about 6mm tread on the edge and 8mm in the middle. (Common on a Torana because when you throw u turns they fold in a bit)
What makes this a highlight?
Two weeks later the female copper that defected me brought her own car in for a service, faults found?
1. front tyres worn to an unsafe limit
2. rear tyre is worn to canvas/belts showing
3. rear muffler and centre mufflers both cracked around pipes.
4. sway bar bushes worn and missing on the front
5. sump, rocker covers and rear main oil leaks as well as auto trans, diff pinion and power steering leaks
6. ripped rack boot
7. bent lower control arm on the front
8. every bush in it r00ted
Oh and it had a non retracting seat belt, three lights not working and a cracked windscreen on her personal VS Commodore yet this b1tch had the hide to defect my Torana...... WTF.
Words were exchanged when she picked it up, she didn't remember me from our previous encounter and wasn't impressed when I mentioned in future she look a little harder at her own car before defecting road worthy ones.
She was even less impressed when she seen I'd written in big letters on the front of the job card "VEHICLE UNSAFE NOT TO BE DRIVEN ON ROADS, OWNER HAS BEEN ADVISED VEHICLE SHOULD BE EITHER REPAIRED OR TOWED, OWNER TO DRIVE AT OWN RISK"

Re: ACA last night
What about the diesel 4wd's that you can't see the motor for oil?
Also seen the "Family" car with wire showing on both front wheels.
And STILL the B&S ute's get away with HUGH Bullbars and driving lights about the bonnet line.... But this is safer then a bug catcher scoop!!!!!
