A good Friend gave me some fantastic old Magazine's on the weekend.

I was wrapped to find the following article in one of them, particularly as some of you will know I am a Collector of such Moulds and Fibreglassing is a Hobby of mine.

Street & Strip No: 9

Fibreglass Components Sculpture Styling StreetnStrip9P8

Fibreglass Components Sculpture Styling StreetnStrip9P9

Fibreglass Components Sculpture Styling StreetnStrip9P10

Fibreglass Components Sculpture Styling StreetnStrip9P11

Fibreglass Components Sculpture Styling StreetnStrip9P12

Fibreglass Components Sculpture Styling StreetnStrip9P13

I'm tempted to add this to Technical Info as I think its a great record of what was available and what they were worth all those years ago.

Feel Free to add any relevant Pics or Ads you've scanned. Troy has a few in his New Project Directory.

It's a pity that the moulds seem to have disappeared for some of those. I must admit I actually don't mind the metor kit, not that I can ever remember seeing one at the Van shows in the 80s.

So Rusty ended up with my Street and Strip no 9! Shocked Alley Cat had a Meteor nose cone although slightly modified. Wink

guess there no point in asking. Ya gotta love what your doing and i would not ask someone to do it if they didn't enjoy it.

Will ask one of the guys at work as he does glass work. He's doing special effects on a movie at the moment but when he returns I'm sure he could come up with something. If he's keen he can teach me and i will do them Smile

Hopefully Black Eagle will help prompt Perry's memory.

I don't know of any others that currently have the Meteor Front fitted. Maybe there are some locked away in sheds.

There's an Advanced Composites (includes Fibreglass & Carbon Fibre) Course running at Wodonga TAFE in a few weeks.

The Teacher is one of the best there is. His Family Business builds top class Ski Boats etc. for a living. Stephens Boats of Corowa

He was taught by John Evans of Race Paint, who may be better known from his VanCraft days and Tangerine Dream.

Thank You and your Son for your generous offer James.

I couldn't see any point in owning the Moulds and not being able to Fibreglass (unless like Rob, you own an Iconic Van like Checkmate, the 1st Ozzie Van to have a real TransAm Front, actually moulded from a TransAm, and you were able to track down the original Moulds and acquire them).

I spent the $money$ and took the time to learn how to Fibreglass and make Moulds from one of, if not, the best in the Business.

I will be making a Mould for a HJ-HZ Monza front sometime in the near future.

I have Orders for two (2) TransAm Fronts to fulfil 1st.

regards

J&G Automotive Moulds:

Fibreglass Components Sculpture Styling JGSCMP36

I had the pleasure of meeting Greg Bullivant (the G in J&G) when he was living in Albury a few years back.

He very kindly lent me his Photo Albums. Talk about some INCREDIBLE gear that came out of their Shop.

They were one of if not the 1st to T-Top a HQ-HZ Monaro Coupe, talk about a Spectacular job.

Just a shame I never had a Scanner and Greg's permission to copy some of those Pics.
