2020's Events:
- Albury/Wodonga -  Thursday 24th to Monday 28th September (on the NSW/Vic Border)  AFL GRAND FINAL Weekend
- Hervey Bay -  Friday 2nd to Monday 5th October  (on the Fraser Coast)  QUEEN'S BIRTHDAY Public Holiday.  NOTE:  Venue changed to the Sea Front Oval Pialba.
- Denison -  Friday 25th to Monday 28th September  (on the WA Coast) Public Holiday.
- Port Hughes -  Friday 2nd to Monday 5th October LABOUR DAY Weekend.

Yes, that's correct.  As per the Flyers.

Albury/Wodonga Van-In has aligned with the Vic AFL Grand Final Weekend.  This will be the 6th year that it has, since it came into being.

2012 was the Easter Long Weekend, then we aligned with the NSW Labour Day Long Weekend in 2013.  When the Vic AFL Grand Final Long Weekend 1st came into being (2015?) it was the same Weekend as the NSW Labour Day.  This was the case until 2018 when the Vic AFL Long Weekend became 1 week earlier than the NSW Labour Day Long Weekend.

Labour Day is on the 1st Monday of October every year (shifting from the 1st to the 7th of October); the AFL Day is on the last Friday in September (correct me if I'm wrong, but I think when it 1st came in the Friday was the 1st or 2nd October, which ruined the Song!).

The plan to announce the Albury/Wodonga Van-In was to proceed has now been delayed due to the current restrictions not being eased as planned in Victoria, COVID-19 restrictions affecting the event at this point in time are not being eased in Victoria, everything is booked, entry forms ready to go, we need to be sure we can hold the event as planned.
We are very disappointed with the announcement today that current outbreaks in Victoria are causing uncertainty for us to make an official confirmation of the event, Victoria has extended its status of - state of emergency.
We feel for all Vanners who need answers regarding the event, we are in limbo until restrictions for especially the following are lifted:
*opening of shared amenities for caravan parks
*groups of 100 can gather
We hope everyone understands the position we are in, a lot of work has gone into the event in the hope we can proceed as planned on the planned date.
It is really up to people of Victoria to do the right thing regarding COVID-19 to allow us to have our fantastic annual event. — with Darren Burns.

Hi everyone,
It is quite concerning to see lockdowns being reintroduced, we hope everyone out there is ok, we are all affected by the current situation.
At this point we are hoping people will do the right thing, restrictions are lifted and we can have our 2020 Van-in on the planned date.
The plan is to hold off any postponement announcements until August 16 2020, if lockdowns lift prior to this date the show will go on as planned and we will release entry forms.
We care about the Vanning community and understand we personally, and the Club have a duty of care to protect each and every one of you at our events.
If restrictions are still in force mid August and we see no plan to lift them there will be no choice but to postpone the event till mid December/pre Christmas, at this point the weekend of the 12/13th December.
We all need to hang in there, do the right thing and we will enjoy our annual event.

Hi Everyone,
The Albury WODONGA Van-in’s allowance to proceed on the planned date at this point is not looking good.
Victoria’s declaration “State of Emergency” has been extended to 16th August.
We will reassess and advise our plan forward after the 16th August.

To meet Qld Health Department requirements to allow us to hold the Van-In, we are required to keep a Record of Contact Details for ALL Entrants and Spectators on Show Day.

The QR Code is the simplest Non-Contact Method, which will be displayed on the Day and has been added to the Entry Form.

It is only valid for the Day you do it, but can be done each Day. It only needs to be done at the Show & Shine.
