Put my van in the sun today,i was going to give it a quick wash.but i noticed bump in the roof,as i was watching it.The bump got bigger,now its a blister the size of a 20cent piece. Mad No idea what did it no idea how to fix it. Sad

My Gemini van blistered on the guard took it back to the painter and he had to repaint the guard. Crying or Very sad

I think the problem is,the esky being a euro van. Living in oz, is rejecting the japanese paint color. lol! gone drool

aww oh no Sad sounds like something was unde the paint and made it chuck a fruity Sad im not sure what as ive never heard of that happening to such new paint.

sounds like a delamination with the air expanding beneath. Will continue to lift further if you don't do something about it soon.

Not sure on how they preped the surface. If they scuffed the surface then they may have missed that area because of the ridge. Have seen that a heap of times and have done it once myself because i rushed. Thats an apprentice type of mistake. Best to buzz the area back, re prime, wet sand and blend the area back in.

its really bizzarre! it looks like the clears flaking off, but u dont rub the base coat before its cleared. unless part of it is they didnt tack rag that area and so the clear stuck to loose 'paint dust' overspray stuff. then it would flake off. but like Majestic says, if that area wasnt prepped quite so much then that cuold happen too.

If they used a scotchbrite pad to scuff the surface they might have missed the ridge. No scratches for the paint to key too. Just a guess.
