Re: AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGG
My Gemini van blistered on the guard took it back to the painter and he had to repaint the guard.

Bugger. Very disappointing. Hope you can patch it up without any problems.
Re: AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGG
I think the problem is,the esky being a euro van. Living in oz, is rejecting the japanese paint color.

aww oh no sounds like something was unde the paint and made it chuck a fruity im not sure what as ive never heard of that happening to such new paint.
Re: AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGG
sounds like a delamination with the air expanding beneath. Will continue to lift further if you don't do something about it soon.

Are all the silver bits bubbles, or are you talking about the bit further down James?

Re: AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGG
Not sure on how they preped the surface. If they scuffed the surface then they may have missed that area because of the ridge. Have seen that a heap of times and have done it once myself because i rushed. Thats an apprentice type of mistake. Best to buzz the area back, re prime, wet sand and blend the area back in.
Re: AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGG
its really bizzarre! it looks like the clears flaking off, but u dont rub the base coat before its cleared. unless part of it is they didnt tack rag that area and so the clear stuck to loose 'paint dust' overspray stuff. then it would flake off. but like Majestic says, if that area wasnt prepped quite so much then that cuold happen too.
Re: AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGG
If they used a scotchbrite pad to scuff the surface they might have missed the ridge. No scratches for the paint to key too. Just a guess.
