1] Make sure you cut the right size hole Laughing

2] Make sure you have enough room between the roof of the van and the roof you are putting the down-light in Embarassed Missed by 5mm Embarassed Embarassed Not deep enough Laughing

May I suggest a Spacer James?

Hopefully the Lights you are using being LED don't generate a lot of heat like the Household Halogen ones or you'll have to worry about Flammables and Blistering Paint. No

Use extra thick foam for your interior, that'll cover it, just be sure to use LED's rather than halogens as Rusty62TransAm says

I have LED down lights, so no heat well no more than a car interior light.They are only 3 watt three globes that im putting in.
