LOve the burgandy van, its spot on! But did you notice they labelled the HJ looking Sandman a HZ? And they called that HBD van a Sandman ute!

That burgandy van is tough I like everything about it,but I would like to know he get's away with the exhaust outlet where it is sitting as what would be different with running side pipes.

Sorry guy's I will alway's class that thing as a ute with a classy canopy.

I cant see an issue with the exhaust VH, they only have to be securely mounted, have no leaks and be 18 inches past the last rear openning passenger door. And thats the RTA regs.

I had the same set up years ago and I was done for it,I argued with this copper until I gave up until he said well lets see what else we can defect.

Then took it to the rta back then and was told it had to exit from the back and that was 82.

When I was mechanicing I was an RTA examiner and thems the rules dude. Checkmate's will be back out the sides when it eventually go again.

I did Pink slips and could clear defects, I didnt work for the RTA!

Now that burgandy van does it for me, and the plates suit it all the way.

Also on reading about where the exhaust exits I don't see an issue,but my favourite's and I suppose still are the chevy drops yes I am old school

The issue is or back then was you was sent to the pits not like how they do it today,and I remember at one time they where targeting vans with side pipes.

That burgundy van is very similar to a mate of mines old van. Very close. I never did find out what happened to it?
Oh and those pics were taken by a very good mate of mine. Small world.

The burgundy van is a mates of mine from here in Orange. The photo was taken at Bathurst swap meet.

The Burgundy Van is tough. By the look of it a familiar colour. "Clarid" I believe?
