Question for the fishermen on here.

I have a good fly rod, and could never get a handle on casting it.So i'm going to load it up with 6lb braid, and use soft plastic's .Good idea or bad .

depends what your trying to catch matey, ive got a similar rig i use for trout, seems to work for me, wether its right or not... well, im not an expert.

i cheat i use to work at a fishing tackel store not a bcf a tackel store im predy shore that staro the bloke who co created squdgies has a similar rig and as for me as fly fishing goes i dont have the room on the nepean river but i still fish with flys i got a whine cork turned it down in my lathe to a casting plug size and i run floting fly line between the cork and my fly to fluro carbon leader to my braided main line so i have a acracy of a spin rod with none of the tangles involved with a fly rods with the ablity to cast light flys and catch the fish
