I just met with AlburyCity.

They are very keen and very helpful.

Some great ideas and contacts from them to promote the Event.

I'll reveal more once I've secured a few things.

One very important thing, I received info on was where to stay if you want Secure Parking at a Motel. I'll need numbers on how many want to stay at a Motel to make the arrangements, but I'll make preliminary contact and arrangements.

Info on Accomodation:

Camping:

I've had discussions with the Hume Angling Club about hiring their Club House and Camping at the Grounds, which is located right on the Weir/Hume Dam.

It's a Fixed Price, so the more who Camp there the Cheaper it will be for everyone.

The Club House has full Catering Facilities and Amenities including a Commercial sized Kitchen, a Double Glass Door Refrigerator, Tables and Chairs, Toilets, Showers and somewhere to throw your Swag at the end of the night.

Outside there are two (2) BBQ’s under a covered area c/w a Serving Bar. There is plenty of space for Camping with Power available, and there is also a Boat Ramp for those who wish to bring a Boat.


Motel:

There's a Motel near the Show & Shine that was suggested to me: the Australia Park Motel where the Commodore Guys stayed and were well looked after. It only has one entrance and you park outside your room, which makes it more secure than some.

I suggest that those staying in a Motel try to stay at the same one.

I'll try and coincide my road trip to Melbourne to make this a rest stop on the way. No van, but if camping is the go, I might chuck a mattress in the wagoon. Can't commit 100% though, it all depends on whether I have a place in Vic lined up to move in to.

Mate,I am taking the wifes PT Cruiser down and I am putting a mattress in that and sleeping in it for the weekend,I am lucky the passenger side seat lay's all the way forward so I have had to make a custom mattress for it but it gets my full 6ft frame comfortably in there

The goon is perfect for that, you can fit a 2 piece king size ensemble base in the back. A single mattress fits behind the bench seat with room to spare.

is there a cut off date for entry cos im getting the new box recoed and back this weekend ?
and are sourcing all the parts next weekend to fit it and the weekend after that i hope ill be fitting the box
and about 3 mins after its all done will be lapping the block a few times and a few more times after that trying to work out how to drive a PETROL manule

Entries will be taken at both Events.

Pre-Entries will determine the mix of Trophies and will also help in organising Catering and Accommodation.
