always wondered why you stopped spinning spanners for a living you rough prick,hahahaha. Besides the front apron is where I was standing when I dropped the manifold into place to give it a tighter seal on the heads and valley .lol

Hope you stood on the manifold while you tightened it up. Always gives a tighter seal! I do miss the spanners..............some days, but would rather be tinkering with mates on cars we care about when I feel like it than having to fix Joe Blow off the streets late model daily hack.
Looking forward to some quality time in the shed with you soon Ben, we've got quite a bit of lost time to catch up on mate. Bring back the old team, pizza, Coke, swearing, laughing and building old Holdens!! And of course the odd arguement to keep it interesting!!!

I've had nearly 20 vans so if you add the Toranas etc than yeah over 40 for sure!

Finally some progress that is able to shown in photos, motor is up and running, cam and lifters run in (f*%#king loud exhuast) , computer mounted and hidden with easy access , fuel system done and front apron now has no more badges,holes welded and in primer and time for the rest of the paint work.

It is looking bloody awsome mate, i can see i've left it in good hands, cant wait to see it complete

great job mate this thing is turning into tha tonner i always wanted , tha young fella keeps askin "wheres car dad", hes gonna love tha changes.

now i seem to be getting somewhere front apron and inside bonnet green finally

very very nice, much better with out the holden badge and green is alot better than chipped white and surface rust haha

after a few minor hiccups its finally done and looking good

Got the old girl back 2day, was a good trip home, definately needs to be raised in the front (doesnt take much 2 scrape the exhaust), speaking of tha exhaust mufflers are definately on the to-do list very very loud! along with a front end rebuild and new gear box (tha 4 speed just isn't going to cut it. All in all it has met all my expectations and more with ben going the extra mile to hide wiring and get some of the other electricals working properly, i cant thank you enough mate, and have fun with the old work hack.

No problems, glad your happy with it. The old work hack vs ute shouldnt take to much to fix, the support is a bit bent but it is repairable which is good news. keep you posted on the progress

yer i noticed it was a bit bent but i don't think its the first time its been used as a dodgem car, it looks like someone has welded the support before. like i said today don't be to fussy with it as all it is is a work truck.

Im a big fan of big diamter wheels and hav been contemplating a set of show wheels streeters myself, that van of urs would b even cooler with with an injected 5L, u may need 2 get in2 contact with ben (gts injected) he does a great job
