as far as mozzies are concerned with a roof spoiler and bubble windows there is gaps..
weatherproof...yes they are waterproof for heavy showers but not hurricanes..

Yeah just looking at the pics with a spoiler and bubble windows, I reckon if you got a good strong wind up the side of it she'd shread her. Obviously when Holden originally designed them they didnt have modified vans in mind.
Pretty cool accessory all the same to display at shows.

yeh rob if it was a real strong wind maybe...
we had jennie with the yellow sandman use a sample at vic van nats and it was raining and a bit windy she said but held up well..
also the afternoon we took the pics on my van at the lake up here it was very windy and the van was pointing straight into the wind..took 2 of us to put it on but once it was secured we had no problems with it flapping around..
they are after all an accessory designed for nice nights on the beach or in the bush and to give you extra leg room for sleeping.also for easy access in and out of the van without having to put tailgates up and down..
also for anyone that has got on the Dribble and slept in there van and woken up in a lather of sweat because the van is shut these give ventilation with the little window open..
another point of interest is that we have been able to keep the price at exactly what it was in 1975 but in 2011 terms..if you use an inflation calculator and then add the gst aspect its the same price as way back when..
