you can buy pretty much everything you need pre-fab'd from the rod shop, although its quite expensive. Might be an idea to try and modify some stuff yourself like the sump since its around $1200 for one with a pick up. Seen some pics of the 6spd transmission go into a monaro and it looks like a big job, the tunnel had to be cut and made bigger.
Be an awsome mod but looks like a bit of a headache from what i have researched so far.

im putting an ls1 in my HQ pano engine out of VX senator, and has autobox with it not sure if will use or not (probably end up giving it a whirl as has to run better than trimatic hahah), but have conversion bits for it, ECU has been remapped or whatever it is they do so it will work in older vehicle, different sump, extractors, etc have been collected for the conversion, as well as new modified engine mounts specifically for the engine into the HQ. Other than that I believe its just a straight in bolt up job, hard part is plumbing it all up. I will need new guages and things. But when it eventually goes in, I will have a thread up posting triumphs, failures, and everything in between if that helps? I also have an unmolested HQ wiring loom to put in if need be for the basic stuff.
I got all mine from a business in Mt Gambier was cool, even got some cool little drinking glass's as a thankyou for your purchase. He sells various conversions as kits all individual parts.

take lots of pics when you do it. Be awesome to see it done

not long ago a mate of mine was stuck knee deep in mud with a hole in the oil filter of his hilux it was cheaper for me to drag him out on to the closest road and get towed on a Sunday arvo than it was for me to hire a trailer for few hours

Woopsie yea that would be good do vn v8 engine mounts work the same as quee mounts everyone says they do and i bought some hq to wb engine mounts for a 308 the other day it was out of a stato and they have commodore written on them haha, but definatelly would be good too know your dramas and what not
