Best Wishes and a speedy recovery to Angry Bird.

Wishing Neil and Cherone all the best, Neil is currently in hospital with some health issues. Neil has been in there for over a month now and looks like staying awhile longer. His condition has improved but his mobility has been severely reduced for the time being.
With Cherone now driving the Angry Bird, Neil will just have to hang on tight when she hits the go pedal!

Neil's posts on here for the moment are being entered by Cherone as Neil is no longer able to type.

Angry Bird was entered at the recent Macarthur Commodores show and managed to score the Committee's Choice Award!
(Must've been the MV sticker on the back!)

Neil was unaware that his lovely wife Cherone, had snuck out from hospital and drove the van to the show, than ducked back to the hospital and quietly slipped out again in time for presentations.

Wishing Neil all the best and hoping for a recovery mate, our thoughts and well wishes are with you, if you need anything at all Cherone you have our numbers dont be shy to use them.

Hi everyone...

Thank you so much for your support, kind words & thoughts with what is such a difficult time in our lives ... Neil has been in hospital since August 20 and still has a way to go .... They have done all they can do for him right now so his waiting for a bed to become available for rehab .... Neil's got some movement back on his left side but still nothng on his right .... So ROB YES I will be driving Neil around to shows or events proudly & Neil will just have to sit back & enjoy the ride including the g-force.

good to see your sence of humour is still in fine form Neil, I like the shot of you in Physio today on facebook shame you dont have any 70's shorts.........they would have made the photo even better !!!!!! Now hurry up and get better there is some serious cruising to be done, I have the passion back and am hell bent on getting the Van finished.

But unfortunately at the moment i'll have to enjoy it through the

Hey think of it this way the carrot is dangleing in front, you can almost taste it, so you push hard to get there, and Im sure you will one step at a time. You have a lot of us out here behind you, infact I dont see why we all couldnt organise a cruise for Neil with a BBQ for lunch and kicking back with him Im sure it would be a great day so count me in............!

.But still have to get permission to be let out..
If for some reason she won't drive it ill tow it.. ...
But for now im back inside...
Took my first steps on thursday afte r 2 weeks
Of intense physio.. SO HAPPY.....

Great work Neil, keep at it mate. Hopefully Cherone can drive the van up to the reunion and you can get day release or we might have to kidnap you for the day.

Those of us who were able to make it to the Vanning Legends reunion had a very pleasant surprise when Cherone rocked up, having snuck Neil out of the Hospital for the day.

It was fantastic to finally meet Cherone, having only spoken on the phone previously.

This was not to be over shadowed by the time I was fortunate to spend with Neil. Good to see your positive attitude Mate and that you are improving.

I know that your determination to get back on your feet is a big part of the recovery process.

I look forward to the next time we meet and having another great chat.

I admire your positive outlook and determination.

In my eyes and those of many, you are a True Vanning Legend.

Yup, it was great for us to catch up with Neil & Cherone.
We got to crap on about the old days and generally absorb the Vanners spirit.
