2013 Australian Van Nationals -Caboolture Queensland

What a awesome show, wish I could have stayed longer but the looming storm made me head for the hills. There was a ugly accident on the way home, a vehicle had gone up onto the wrong side of the road and had a head on with another car. I was in the traffic jam for well over an hour. Hope they all got out ok, looked like a family as there were push bikes etc on the trailer. Hope the storm went around the show and all got away ok. It was great to catch up with all the guys and gals from Majestic, now Rusty can understand why I am so backward, can't even get the sticker on right LOL. It is now 5:13pm and we have another storm going over as I write this message so its not over yet. Thanks again to all the Majestic Vanning crew for a warm welcome and a great day.

Totally agree with Rusty it was an absolute brilliant day, a great collection of vans & custom cars. Well done to the Sunstate Panel Van club for pulling off a great job and to all those Van clubs that attended thank you for a great day. Certainly looking forward to next year at Mildura.

I had a massive day. I got to meet a few guys and saw some spectacular vans. Had a chat with Aden and now I'm having a rest. Drove for 7 + hours today but it was worth it.
Glad the weather held of for a while. We made it back to Hervey Bay dry and safe.

Sweet pictures and very cool links to the YouTube footage. Great to see that many Vans cruising on the highway.

Thank you to Hayley for posting Jen's pics, and to Mick for posting the links! I managed to catch a glimpse of mine flash past in that last one.

I have a heap of pics and video shot from the weekend that I will get to uploading once I am back. I am currently still in Queensland and only have my phone on me, so uploading pics to our fb page is the best I can do at the moment, sorry!

The event was a blast, we all had a ball! 106 vans were there on showday, and I think about 80 were involved in the cruise. Awesome event, awesome vans, awesome people, a real credit to sunstate panelvan club for their organisation.

Majestic Vanners were awarded a trophy for being the club with the most members attending, (11 vans in total) with Simo picking up an award for 'Disturbia' - the 'Van virgin award' and Neil and Cherone picking up a merit award trophy for 'Angry Bird'

I will get on to posting a list of the winners, with pics when I am back. Until then, thanks to everyone that has been sharing pics and news with the forum users for us!

Hi again all, I didn't find out until I was leaving but did anyone else know that one of the officials was the one and only Peter (Devo) Davidson. As I was heading back to my van to be directed out, he put his arm around me neck and said "I do murals" my reply was "thats great" not knowing who he was.
I asked him to write his number down which he did and when he handed it to me it had Devo Davidson. I could not believe it, he now resides in Brisbane and I will be going to visit him in the next couple of weeks to see his collection of van murals he has done and to consider one for my van.
I remember seeing his signature on so many vans back in the seventies and eighties and it was a treat to meet the man in person. I will keep you all posted on my visit.
