Tyre Talk

Hey all,

Been a while since ive posted somthing on the MV website, How ever in the ipeline we have finally got another VAN!!!
Another 72 HQ, ill post somthing in the projects area shortly

Now down to business, we started with suspension, tyres and wheels, suspension is good and we are hotly debating the wheels but the tyres is the problem. Currently on the yellow beast we have 14x7 Bridgstone Eager 225/60/14 and we are chasing either another set or the BF Goodrich/ Yokahama 352 equivelants

Has anyone got a secret stash or know where we can buy new tyres
we really want to keep the oldschool look!!

There are a couple of places both called 'antique tyres' I think... One in WA but its hard to get old matey to return calls ... I think the other one was in vic. I talked to a guy there and he said they sell 14/245/50 ta s .($300 ea)...I asked him if these were going to be always available as I was going to get my gts rims widened and don't want to do it if I can't get tyres down the track...not a prob he said ...so they might have what your looking for ...I think I typed tyre size into eBay and got the phone number off there ...the wa one advertises in unique cars and aus muscle cars I think

can get 275 hoosters from sumit for a good price

The thing is for the good price from summit they will charge you by volume and will cost more in the end,I got a pair of Mickey Thompson sportsman 275x60x15 from VPW for $180.00 each and $60 to freight them to nsw, I was running 295s but I am now more happier with the new tyres.
