Sounds like it was a great night. Would have loved to have been there but unfortunately I was working and stranded down at Hamilton.
Can't wait to join you all at the Van In.

I'll make contact with one of the crew heading up on Thursday to organise a meeting time and place.

Hey Mully spewing you weren't there you put such great effort into providing us all the info for the night. Work sucks!!! Sammy and I are hatching plan so we can all retire and just Van Maaaaaaate! Looking to catching up on Thursday. Great job with the new camera Karl.

Absolutely Hilarious! Great to read Karl wasn't the last served for a change!!!!!

As it is with Life, the Journey is often more Fun than the Destination! Which is always the Case with the Vic Chapter.

The MV SEA WAVE (South East Australia, Wodonga Albury Van Enthusiasts) Chapter, those who didn't have other commitments, rocked on around to my place for a bit of Socializing and a Movie.

Everyone was asked to bring nibblies. A special mention goes to Lee Burns who excelled with her most excellent Sesame Seed Sausage Rolls and Cheese Platter. Enough to feed an Army. Greatly Appreciated by all who attended. Respect1

Our Movie of choice for the Big Screen was "Drive Angry" starring Nicholas Cage. Anyone who's seen it will know this movie is full on from start to finish!!!!!! Which is probably an understatement!! RoadRage1

A Huge Thank You to Darren & Lee, Rohan and Pete & Mandy for coming along. rock

FINALLY GET HER GOING AGAIN (By this stage those who want coffee are getting antsy.) A km up the road Karl has run out of fuel and gets a small can to get his car going. Off again. Finally make it to Macca's . Arrival requires assistance for the abused EJ as she is pushed into the carpark. After coffee and a bit of forward planning for the Van In we all set off home. Sam followed Greg to be sure the abused EJ was treated right to get home. What A great night. Bring On The Van In.

An EJ has a factory resistance wire to the ignition. So you want a non resisted coil (as the resistance wire takes care of that).
Something along the lines of an ol' Bosch GT40.

Yep, the problem is, my ej has a red motor fitted (came with a grey) and an alternator (came with a generator.)
It also has a 'lumenition' electronic ignition conversion. It replaces the points with a little electronic eye and a control box.
It's the PMA 50 model.

Same deal applies. Straight 12v NON resisted coil.
You could also go higher specs with say a 40K/50K performance straight 12v coil.
