MV VIC - End of year/Christmas trip to Anglesea

Pardon my ignorance, but which caravan park did we decide on?

Won't be able to join you guys this weekend as I'm cruising (working) over to Murray Bridge at stupid o'clock tomorrow morning. Have fun, stay safe and I'll see you all next weekend.

Mully, Sam ,and myself are all meeting early saturday morning for a maccas brekky run over this side of town if anyone else is interested in meeting up and cruising down to the ferry at Sorrento with us?

us southern folk will be meeting at bp cnr westernport hwy and thomsons rd at 8am if that suits everyone

You would be more than welcome to join us Ryan, if only for the show at Geelong at this late notice.  But we might be able to find out if there is room to stay with us in Anglesea if you are interested?

Thanks for the offer Karl I wouldn't be able to make the Saturday due to work anyway. I may be able to make Sunday not entirely sure yet. If so will see you all there cheers

Sorry I can't make it.

Just got home from seeing 3 bands play.
It's 1.45 a.m and i'm still not packed!
me thinks i better hurry up so i can get an hour or two sleep.......

I've just finished work. Thinking about is it worth going to bed or down to wash the car.

Back home after a great weekend with my MV family thanks to everyone who went .
Van ran great just can't open the bonnet ,problem for another day .

My problem is mine opens when other people don't close it properly and i'm in the group cruising.

Good job you pulled over then I had a bug with the biggest stinger I've seen just outside the passenger window closed it for the next 10 minutes driving before it let go .

I agree that weekend was awesome.
The people and cars are all perfect in my book.
Thanks to all you guys (and gals).
And special mention to the 3 stooges for making me laugh for their bumbling practical joke attempts!

It's been a little while coming but our trip to the Great Ocean Rd has been run and done.
What a great time it was. Karl is already keen for a similar trip over more days. We'll be there good one mate.  
The weekend began with a trip down to Sorrento to catch the ferry to Queenscliffe. The crew this side of the ocean were Andrew and Kerri,
Mully, Gary, Greg, Sam, Karl, Trish, Ella and Lachie, and Joe and Angelique.


All on board.

Met up with Reece, Amelia and Jamie at Queenscliffe other side of the bay.
Tunnel Vision.

Met up with Chris, Charmaine and Renee who are from Warrnambool.
Stopped for lunch at Freestones café and were invited to browse through the cars on display in museum.
Great lunch and off to the first photo op. VIC Crew are once again chasing Banner options.

Head off for refreshments and camp set up.

First put up the MV Banner.

Smashed all day by the sun now it's time to rehydrate.



The sun had been too much for some and required deeper refreshment.





What a beaut spot caravan park included.

Sunday morning saw yours truly pilfer a hose from a nearby caravan to facilitate the MV and Anglesea Car Wash. A slow procession
of vans trawled through soon we were all soaped, chamoised and shiny. Packed up camp and off to the show we go. Added a few extras
to our crew which included Ken, Dave Macdonald, Dave M and daughter.


Apparently this beauty was for sale - don't know about the asking price!!! It seemed a bit dear to me.


What an awesome weekend with the MV family. Hohum we have next weekend with the relatives. Ha Ha.
Great finish to a big year. Merry Christmas to All the MV Crew. Look forward to making many new miles in the New Year with you

Yes. Another VANtastic weekend done and dusted. 
As usual we shared lots of laughter, cruising, turning more heads than I could count as we cruised through the towns, sharing stories, drinking and just having a bloody good time. 

We welcomed a few new members our family, Chris, Charmaine and Renae (hope I got spelling right), Reece's wife Amelia and "Chucky" (AKA Jamie).

Some great photos were taken by our resident photographers so stay tuned for those. The ones already posted are just teasers I'm sure. 

I've posted some video footage onto Facebook for those that have it. I haven't worked out how to do the videos onto the forum yet and as I'm off to Adelaide in the morning won't be able to try work it out til I get back. YES Chucky, in my van that I DO really use for work. LOL

Wishing you and your families all a very safe Christmas and holiday period. See you all in the new year if not before.
