SA Chapter of MV's first Run
I thought I would share with you Ashley Holders wrap up of the first SA Chapter run that happened a couple of weeks ago:
SA Majestic Vanners run to Semaphore Beach
Paul & Lorraine Pedler and myself organized South Australia’s first cruise/meet and greet in Adelaide for Sunday the 2nd of August. We have had plenty of interest in forming an SA chapter of Majestic Vanners. So we thought it would be good to get as many of us together to let fellow vanners know that there is another option in Adelaide for like-minded vanners to get together on a regular basis.
Most of us met at the Tea Tree Plaza carpark at 10.30am. We were pleased to see a few new faces that we had met on facebook. Some came in their vans, others in cars.
We made our way in convoy down to Semaphore Beach, picking a few more up along the way. We parked on the beachfront for a chat to get to know everyone. A great chance to take some photos and wait for a few more to turn up. In the end we had about 12 vans and nearly 25 people turn up.
At 1pm we all cruised up along the esplanade to the Rockefeller Cafe at Largs Bay. Where we were all made to feel welcome by the staff. We had lunch and everyone seemed to have a good time.
After planning a few future events and seeing who will be heading over to the van-in in October. It was about 2.30pm people started to head off home.

Re: SA Chapter of MV's first Run
Was a fantastic day
I couldn't believe the turnout
The vans seem to be coming out of the garages in droves
It's great to have a fantastic all inclusive club
Caught up with some old friends and met some new ones
A guy even approached me as we parked at the cafe and asked if we were a club, to which I responded yes
He then asked if it was just holdens as there were a few parked together
I said no we have ford vans parked over the road and we accept all vans
He said great as he has a windowless XD 351 and an escort van at home and has been looking for a van club to cruise with
I gave him some info and a card and invited him to look us up on FB and the net
That's what's great about getting out and about
Making new friends and drooling over vans haha
Looking forward to our next outing
