Being a MV'er
Guys,
It has been a long time coming but I'm proud to be a MVer.
Rob, Teesh, Jon, Rusty & Rhino - you have done exceptionally well with this forum. Who would have thought we would rise from the ashes from what has happened in the past?
I know I can be a prick at times but we all have our moments. I think it affects all men as they get older - COB's - cranky old bastards.
I think you could say we would have nearly 45 vans spread amongst our membership. I have 3, which would leave 42. Considering that most of us, have more than 2 vans each, 42 is an easy number.
We could easily stage a mini Van Nats at any time. Watch out VCV!!!!
I look forward in us going forward. Exciting times ahead.
cheers
Sean

To true mate, I'm proud to be a member of such a great bunch of people. I think we'd could do 45 vans if we could all get together at one place!
Bathurst next Easter maybe?
I think we've come a long way, been through the bad times, stuck together through it all, the good times are ahead. We can build on our friendships, pick up new friends along the way for the ride and see where we end up.
We've got some exciting times ahead too, with a whole heap of stuff in the pipeline still!
I think you'd have to go a long way to find a more geniune, helpful bunch than what we have here.
Congratulations MVer's on just being yourselves, which is obviously what makes us unique.

Re: Being a MV'er
A station wagon is only a cutdown panelvan, with side windows and extra passenger doors but then again you could have a panelvan with extra passenger doors, like an ambulance????
I'm all confused.
Time for bed. :

It's called Majestic Vanners cause if it were called Majestic Station Wagoners the business cards and stickers would cost twice as much.

Yeah, and the "Majestic Station Wagoners Australia" sticker would start peeling and we would end up with "Mastic tato goners Australia".
Seriously, this forum is the best thing I've found with regard to vanning - a credit to the other people here, and I'm proud to be part of it and share a drink with some of you last weekend.
I'm in it because of the cars and the friends. Politics are for politicians. And we all know what we think of politicians.....
Cheers

Re: Being a MV'er
If we exclude our WA MVers (sorry Andrew and Dean) and take Wistow SA and Brisbane QLD as our most distant members, halfway is Orange NSW. Around 1000km's from Wistow and Brisbane. So theoretically Orange is our most central location.
Next Easter we're all aiming for a long weekend in Bathurst with our vans, which is pretty close to MV central.

We certainly have come a long way since 2007. A big thanks to Rob for carrying the ball for the last 12 months or so, without all your hard work mate we would not be the most Popular Van group in Australia

Thanks for the kind words Rhino, we've all done so much since we started MV and have been through a heap of good and not so good times. But we're still here and going stronger than ever, if no one else wants to move vanning ahead and promote it, than MV might aswell!
Here's to a heap more great runs, events, ideas, rebuilds, BBQ's and laughs in the years to come.
Cheers Rob

Re: Being a MV'er
Ditto on all comments posted on this topic, this is a great bunch of people. Everyone is very helpfull and friendly and as stated no politics. It would be great to all catch up one day, we would have to make sure we contact the TV channels to give the club some good coverage. Thanks again all, excellent club.
ps Good thing we stumbled over each other again when we did Rob and a special thanks to you for introducing me to the club.
