Hello everyone, my name is Paul aka Dirty HO. I have just started rebuilding a XY Van and can't wait to finally get it on the road one day. Oh yeah and I'm from Brisvegas.

Welcome aboard Paul, hope you enjoy your time with us. Feel free to add up some pics and start a new thread of your XY in the Projects section. RAT BAG (Brad) is building a XY van too, so you can compare projects. Great to have another QLDer on here and it pains me to type it but..............................it's nice to see another old Ford van on here! They're a rarity these days.

Hi all magnum (jon) here thought I had better say gday to all you guys as Ive been asking questions about the concorde van around the traps .First Ive got a ford van xd as my daily nothin flash but does have sidepipes and 8,s and 7,s in cragars .Im into hot rods and cars in general.Ive got a pilot hotrod a javelin and a 68 rebel .I plan to do the van up abit more so Im enjoying looking at all the great ones on this site.I also do exhausts and custom made pipes at our shop GASSERS in brunswick victoria .cheers jon

Great to have you on here Jon, another person that shares the passion for vans! There's a fair bit on here and the more everyone puts in, the more we all get out of it.

It was in the 80's, showing my age now. It was called ADD VAN TAGE. I'd love to know where it is.

The guy who bought it off me did a total respray, so if it hasn't found the wreckers, I have no idea what it might look like now.

It did have a number of distinctive features, the signature was the aircraft style door in the side (Steps came down, door panel lifted up) and was totally covered in murals.

Some of the oldies on here might have seen it around, it had a couple of TV spots back in the day, like "A Country Practice" and "Raffety's Rules" and was in a mag or two.

Devo's old van, ADD-VAN-TAGE, its in the van register. I heard recently that it did get resprayed white, but haven't heard much else. The side to was a sweet add-ition to the van I think, I always liked this van.

Yeah that's right Peter "Devo" Davidson. He was a mate of mine at the time, when he was returning to live Canberra he offered the van to me (very cheapy) which I took him up on. He stayed with my wife and I for a while when he came back to Brizzy for business (in a modified and air brushed holden wagon), after he returned we lost touch with him. I must do a search on Peter as well

I had the van for a while. One weekend I was towing my drag car to Willowbank with the Van and a old guy in front of me braked suddenly (he was in a Valiant) and the trailer brakes failed (hire trailer) and I couldn't pull her up in time. That deatroyed the Transam front end.
I put a HQ Premier front end on it, just to get he back on the road.

Not long after I blew up 3rd gear, after replacing the gear box I ended up swapping her for a Collora Wagon some surfy guy had for sale at the time. He promptly resprayed the entire Van in some baby poo colour, totally wiping out those beautiful Murals. Arguably Peter's greatest work (and at the time he had been voted Australia best muralist). At this point I wanted to turn back time and keep it, Damn shame.

Although I probably couldn't affort it, I would love to buy it and restore it to it's original "Devo" condition.

Any leads as to the current owner would be great...
