The misses 4 kids and I just got back from a 6000km round trip from adelaide to brisbane in the XC wagon

hey my names ryan i just joined im from melbourne out near the dandenongs i was told to come join by stevo from the stato forum
i have a few cars my first car is my 1977 torana got it as grandpa spec then turned it into something a bit nice runs a 308 atm with flat top pistons hei dizzy ported heads and manifold aussie 4speed and a 9 inch with 3.5motive gears detroit true trac and billet 31spline moser axles thats myself 2 weeks after i bought her home funny story i developed chicken pox on the way to get the car soon as i got home didnt even look at it



and i do it all to cruise it and have fun at club days like this

second car is my daily just a vq v8 statesman shiftkitted auto rebuilt the motor with a small cma about a year ago its alright Woopsie me a bit time to time

and lastly my other car is sitting in a bakyard at a friends house it was a familay friends car who couldnt afford to restore it but couple bear to wreck it bout 12 months ago he said its mine if i want it just need some where to put it so i can start restoring it its a 1974 hq sandman 308 straight lpg muncie 4speed salsbury lsd only have one photo of it

LOL.. GDay Ryan... hope you have fun on the forums here and find info here that may help you in the restore of your van (if you need it). Maybe you could start a thread in the 'Project' section, so we can watch your progress with the restore.

cheers mate ill definately be restoring the van alot of family history when it was first restored by the family friend he did it at our old place and used to take me and my brother for rides up and down the driveway in the back unfortunately it wont be until i have my own house but once i do it will be getting a full resto possibly rotisserie if i can get one big enough once ive got a place and have the van there ill definately put a build thread up

Hi " guys" I have only been back into vans since late 2002. Bought a red HX from JBC cars in Strathpine ... sold it late last year. Went to Nabiac in 2006 saw Paul and Angela Dwyers Rare Breed and really liked the van. They sold it to a guy in Canberra soon after for his daughter to take to Summernats. She didnt want it after that so i bought it on ebay. Put it on a truck headed back to Melbourne for a young guy to tend to the rust in it and to enjoy. All i have left is my Devil Yellow "Sandman Canopy Option" 2006 and i love it to bits, Live and work here on the Gold Coast. Have been to a few Nats and still love vanning. Welcome aboard Rick and Ryan, I love my Toranas too Ryan I've owned a few Torries too! There's some pics in the other cool ride section, start up a thread on yout Torrie in there too mate if you want.
Nice to have another QLDer on here Rick, we have several MVers in QLD and they're doing a run in March if your keen to attend. I was at Nabiac in 2006 to in our old blue Gemini van.
Start a thread on your van in the "yopur van" section if you want mate, great to have a couple more newbies on board!

Hi guys sorry I haven't posted on newbies so thought I should say g'day . Where to start 50 this year aggghhh ! Xd van ,into all types of cars. Vans, rods ,AMC collector I currently have 49 pilot rod .amc javelin amc rebel coupe,and few other projects .live in boronia Vic and work for blue oval and run small exhaust and hotrod shop part time .former drag racer for 20 years .I look forward to putting faces to names in the future .thanks Jon

As for an image gallery on this site... there are a number of sections (History of vans, Builds, other sweet rides) and so many pics, it will keep you engrossed for months... well it has for me

i have a hq pannel van. my partner and i are ford and mopar fans, my partner thinks the lost worlds van looks unique and we wanted to see a pic of it in colour. cheers heaps for having one.
also just wondering if anyone could help with dimentions for a divider pannel for the back of my hq van. cheers.

If you hadn't asked about that van and Rob hadn't pointed out It's name... I'd never have checked out that thread. Makes me realise just how many threads I've still to checkout.

Corvettes look awesome and so does 'Lost World'.

Bugger... just one more thing that looks good on a .... How can I call myself a Holden fan, when there is so much I like about those old Fords???

im still not sure what to think of 'lost worlds' yet, i think the front looks very unique.(much like alot of pannel vans)
and alot of work must have gone into building that.
im much into my and but im not buyist i like anythink 70's and before.

I very much like you're picture with the van inside of the eye.

also just wondering what events where happening this year. ie. swap meets, show n shine ect. preferably adelaide or victoria. : ) cheers : )
