Albury: Eastern States Van-In, Easter 2012 - Open Invite to All.

For those of you who won't be travelling to WA for the Van Nats, Majestic Vanners will be organising a Van-In for all those interested in Panel Vans (i.e. an Open Invite to all Clubs and those not in Clubs) in Albury, NSW.

The City of Albury is on the Hume Freeway at the border of NSW and Victoria.

There are a myriad of local Attractions (including Wineries, Breweries, Olive Farms and the Hume Dam), Facilities, Shopping Centres and a full range of Accommodation available from sleeping under the Stars to 5 Star Motels and Apartments.

AlburyCity are keen for us to hold this Event and have indicated their support to do so.

The intent is to hold a Show n Shine at one of their nicely maintained Green Grassed Parks close to the CBD. Depending on numbers we may even be able to have some Vans at QEII Square in the centre of the City.

We have already had a lot of interest in participating from those we have spoken to.

Please Register your Name below and the number of Children and Adults you are likely to bring with you to give us an idea of numbers to arrange at least a couple of meals together. ...and whether you are likely to bring a Van.

I have always gone to Narranderra on this wkend for the rod run but think I may be able to make an exception here.

We've had a chat, but just for the others:

I'm liaising with AlburyCity about the Show n Shine Venue and they will assist us with information on what's available locally with regards to Accommodation.

Some people prefer to stay in a Motel, which I fully understand. I'll be suggesting that for those that want a Camping experience, that they look at trying to book into the same Caravan Park as they will have the best facilities.

However, I will be looking at a hiring place on the Lake Hume that we could Hire and Camp at that has a Hall, Toilets, Showers and BBQ's. Only the last bit of Road into it is Dirt and it is not in the City.

Rob is planning to make a trip down, hopefully Brian and Jon can also make it and we'll look at all the options.

It was great to catch up. I look forward to catching up again soon and particularly in Person at Easter.

I know this event is at easter but I just wanted to put this out there to the members and any body else who will be going,now what I was thinking that if you live around the sydney erea central coast and blue mountains ereas that we could all meet up in one place and all cruise down together.
Anyone that lives on the south coast we could hook up with them on the way,and as we reach Tumut then we can meet up with Rob and keep cruising to Albury,what we will need to do is all meet, to who ever is interested at a central point that is good for everyone.so if anyone has any suggestions lets hear them because before we know it this event will be upon us.
