Just wondering if anyone has had any issuesarising from or with removing all or some of the metal divider that seperates the seating from the cargo area of their vans?
I would like to remove a section to allow easier ingress between front and back but was concerned that it may cause issues with stifness of the body, I do p;lan on gusseting the remaining sections so that they can still prevent articles from slamming into mine or my passsenger's backs!

Have to go to work now but will have a look at the book to check what is required to maintain integrity later on.

C'mon guys I thought you knew more than that!!!!!
Nah only joking , my bad it is an XF.
That's a ford.
And the main reason I ask is that I have cut the one out of my XW and it is in there well!!!!! I wanted to remove it in such a way as I could graft it into another if neede but the bracing and hidden welds were amazing.

Squeaker 2, to the best of my knowledge here in Qld for such mods we have to go to an authorised inspection station that specialises in car/engine mods etc, often this can be a local mechanic in your area authorised to carry out or oversee such work or direct you to someone that can help and they should be able to advise you on the engineering mods criteria, once the work is carried out your car will have a mod plate attached to your engine bay certifying and legalising the mod, this is what I believe to be the case I am only 95% sure of this so check it out, I hope this helps Good luck. Cheers John, of Time Lapse.
