How wide can you go???

Hi just wondering how wide of a rim can you get on the rear of a stock hz van?

Obviously a few here have tried? Is there other options to make em work?
Maybe tubbing, stretching wheel arches, getting diff shortened (Can this be done witha 10bolt)?
Rolling the guard out to accomadate?

Then lies the question of the legality of em for Street use?
Was gunna run 14x8's up front and 14x10's in the rear....

on my van now i have 15 x 7 gts wheels 14 re hoped to 15
and want to go 9 or 10 on back
i will be a loan of a 15 x 8 and 15 x 10 sone to see how they fit
so will let you know when i get them

Checkmate runs 14x11 rims on the back but does have flares, Rhinos van Icepik runs some real big wheels under the back and its got stock guards. How big are they Rhino and what was done to fit them?

8" & 9" B45 with 235x50x16 front and 295x50x16 rear only had to fold the rear lips and trim the front. There is no way I could fit anything wider under the rear, i'll probably fit mini tubs if I don't sell it because they are VERY close.

i had 10s on my old van and they fit. 5in in 5in out. when i lowered it i found them indents in the inner guard that you see from the inside the back of your van would rub on the tyre. i had the rim moved half an inch more dish to clear this problem but over big bumps the tyres still touched the guards. i ran 265/50/14. i was going to get my dragways done up and fitted to a 15x10 inch rim but the cost of tyres what stopped me. some places cant get a tyre that size anymore and the ones who can want $350 a tyre.

i have some custom made rebel wheels 5.5 in dish 5inch inner 295/50 15s that were made to fit under a monaro and also a hq ute by rolling gaurds with a pipe and some heat track width was definatly illegal but thay fitted within body if u went with 5 inch dish and a smaller width tire u shouldent have a problem we found half inch spacers when it was loaded stopped scrubbing but inner ribs on gaurds have to be beat flat etherway

was them wheels off the the monaro that your dad dropped out the diff and used a sledge hammer to flare.

yep sledge and an oxie worked wonders but i got em under my queie with a lumpie and a gas torch without splitin the metal dedications the key
